Slight misfire - not leads, plugs or coil pack...

Yeah that's what I thought, but then cylinder 3's temporary involvement has made me think otherwise.

Slight misfire - not leads, plugs or coil pack...

So my car appears to have a slight misfire on cylinder 2 (by slight, I mean that it appears to be firing weakly). I changed the plugs, coil pack and leads but the problem didn't go away. Then oddly, according to my OBD2 reader the misfire shifted to cylinder 3, before shifting back to cylinder 2...

    5.25-inch speakers better than 6.5-inch?

Fitted fine, and did improve volume and bass. But they're only good for OEM replacement in something like a well specced clio! Best taking the advice above for a better setup [emoji106]

    I did - I bought these: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=291521159215&globalID=EBAY-GB

    5.25-inch speakers better than 6.5-inch?

I think I've figured it out - these'll have more bass but perhaps less top end. I hope so anyway...

    5.25-inch speakers better than 6.5-inch?

So this is an absolute noob question and I apologise in advance for how stupid I must sound but... I've bought an old Mk3 facelift Polo as a commute car to keep the miles down on the 182. The car's front speakers were blown, and i was given a pair of these for free by a friend as a temporary...

I'm a fan, reminds me of the old Cup race cars on 15-inch wheels!

    Seatbelt pretensioner mount

I've recently bought Sparco R100 seats and OMP subframes, and was wondering how people mount the seatbelt pretensioner to the subframe. To confirm, my seats are mounted on rails and will need to slide forwards and back. I came across this old thread...

Awesome cheers. And why's that, jack D? Had a bad experience?

    Sam's RB 182 FF

Amazing. I'm running some expensive 5w40 and change every 6 months roughly so hopefully she'll make it to 200k one day!

    Sam's RB 182 FF

Been a long, long time since I've updated this! Recently I fitted a Ktec induction kit. Initially I complained that it seemed to have strangled my car's top end; 50 miles later and almost over night the car was transformed. I assume this is to do with the car's ECU adapting to the change in...

    Induction kit issues

Thanks for the recommendation. Having seen so many printouts that prove the Ktec system brings - albeit tiny ones - gains to power, I'm hopeful I can source the problem to something elsewhere. Something cheap preferably!

    Induction kit issues

I might give that a try, but suspect I'll be booking the car into a rolling road to do a back-to-back test with standard v Ktec kits. Sounds mega so I refuse to give up and just switch back to standard!

    Induction kit issues

Update: Could it be a Lambda issue? The only other thing I can think of is that the kit seems to sit very close to the battery, and as such, is being pinched ever-so-slightly on the first bend exiting the throttle body. Could a tiny pinch really make that much of a difference?

    Induction kit issues

I've recently fitted Ktec's induction kit. Initial thoughts are it's fantastic. It sounds mega on full throttle and looks tidy in the engine bay. I'd even say it's sharpened up throttle response. But after a few days I've started to notice that the top end of the rev-band feels a little...

    Brake issues

My brakes have been fairly useless for several months now. Initial bite is good, but any heavy stops and they're rubbish. The pedal has feel and isn't to the floor, though it does seem a little spongy with very heavy pressure. The servo seems to be holding its vacuum as it only hisses when the...

LY 182 Pure Gym Milton Keynes

Colour looked awesome even if it was dirty. I've only just moved to MK for work but seen a few 172/182s around. Plenty of roundabouts to get that rear wheel up!

My video review of the MG 3 vs Skoda Citigo

Another video I've been working on this week features the MG 3 and Skoda Citigo. Hopefully a much more polished product than all that other rubbish I've been making! Still, it's far from perfect as I am in no way a cameraman/videographer, I'm only concerned with the reviewing bit. But as a...

Just noticed this. That would be me! You don't happen to own the black 172 that's often parked across the road do you?

Rare brake master cylinder fitted to my 182?

My local Renault dealer reckons the brake master cylinder fitted to my car is rare and can only be sourced from abroad. As a result, he thinks it could take up to two weeks to source the part! Since my car is my daily, this is a slight issue.. The reason for the lengthy waiting time...

My Suzuki Swift Sport Video Review

Cheers guys. I appreciate the backwards snapback comments, but this video really isn't anything serious. If I was working for Evo/Autocar, I have no doubt they'd tell me to burn the hat. But for this, I didn't even think about my outfit. Having said that, I've been told by one big brand the...

My Suzuki Swift Sport Video Review

Cheers for the feedback guys. I'll take comments on board and make sure I put together an overall more professional video in the MG3/Citigo comparison. Should be a generally more polished product!

My Suzuki Swift Sport Video Review

They're all rubbish and cringe mate ha! The MG3/Citigo vid should be my first 'proper' vid (fingers crossed). Re. the music volume, the levels seemed good in my headphones. Suppose I should have checked with some other speakers too!

My Suzuki Swift Sport Video Review

Some of you may have seen that I'm an aspiring motoring journo. I'm currently working as a writer, contributing to Car Throttle and Evo amongst other places, but online video is the route I want to take. I've been testing a Suzuki Swift Sport for the week and if I'm honest, I love it. It almost...

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to post my findings here when I compile them over the next few weeks. Ah ok, I've just added an 'other' option. Do you want to DM me your answer? If you can remember which one you selected when you had a go, I'll minus one from the answers and add your new answer.
