I had this problem when i fitted a new cable to mine, thought it was the clutch ratchet so replaced the pedal and still had the problem. Ended up cutting a few mm off the clutch return stop and the ratchet started adjusting correctly.
In my room:

2 sets of cup racer brake ducts
Bilstein B14's
Cup racer front struts
General new cup racer spares

Few sparco steering wheels.
2 head units
The shed:
2 sets of doors
2 bootlids
2 petrol tanks

AFAIK but im pretty sure you need the part the screws into the block and the nut that holds it on also. Prob best to pop down to your Renault dealer to see what bits you need.
Its one of these you need http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/renault-1-9-dci-oil-cooler-fits-scenic-laguna-megann-vivaro-traffic-primastar-/330650711178?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4cfc51748a. Cup racers run one standard but rooted into the engine cooling system, on my cup racer im...
Failing that you could use a heat exchanger in the cars standard cooling system http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Oil_System/Oil_Coolers_Accessories/Mocal_Laminova_Oil_Cooler_Water_Cooled/1674/3087
No one does, but you can get the oil filter housing from renault. Then all you need is a small rad some hose and a pump. Will probably work out a bit more expensive but for me its worth it as it means the cars not gonna empty its sump onto the road when the cooler gets wacked.
Have you thought about water cooling the oil? Im considering doing this on my rally car. Just need a small electric pump with a small rad and a heat exchanger oil filter housing. Advantages are you can turn it on/off whenever you want and unlike and oil cooler if it get damaged all your going to...
So true, you should see the state of my Cup after hitting a van at 40mph that pulled out on me. Good thing clio's are designed to adsorb an impact very well, so much so that its even rippled my rear quarter as well as kinking the roof. Another 5-10mph and ive had the engine on my lap and...
Re: Pic request 172 on bilstein B14's (preferably on standard wheels) & Feedback / in
It wont effect anything, just allows the rear to go a bit lower. The car in this thread has no adjuster rings on the rear http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?611345-Gazwolds-Track-172-Cup If mine...
Why everyone makes the cup to be some sort of stripped out race car i dont know. Ive had a 172 cup and my mate has a normal 172 and tbh apart from the leather it feels no less basic, yes you dont have aircon or automatic lights and wipers but do you really need that? If you want to drive...
Re: Pic request 172 on bilstein B14's (preferably on standard wheels) & Feedback / in
Not yet, there sat in my bedroom waiting to go on but when i do fit them they will be going on without the rear adjuster rings on to get the rear a bit lower. Cheapest place for them is Kam Racing as far as i...
Re: Pic request 172 on bilstein B14's (preferably on standard wheels) & Feedback / in
B14's dont go particularly low on the back, think the lowest they go is 40mm. Front will go down to 80-100mm afaik.
Does anyone know if the wishbones have the part numbers stamped into them? I bloody hope they do, i need to order some new ones for my cup racer and have no idea weather its uses PH 1 or PH 2 wishbones. Uses a modified PH1 subframe i know that, this is going to cause i headache i can just feel...
The only decent thing you could ever do with standard 182 wheels is melt them down and re cast them into a turini. Nothing you do to them will make them look nice, possibly one of the worst wheels ever fitted to a car.
Just get some of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_npmv=3&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=Heat+shrink+crimp that way you know you have a decent water tight connection that isnt going to come apart as the adhesive heatshrink bonds to the insulation on the cable.
This,
Also if the adjuster rings are aluminium then some heat is going to do any harm, just need to get it hot enough for the aluminium to expand a bit. Failing that a lump hammer and a cold chisel.
Ive got one on my cup racer, cant say for sure if it actually does anything. But its a better design than the Renault Sport one it had on it, and im sure Renault wouldn't have bothered fitting a brace if it did nothing.
I have Hi-spec R114-4 racing calipers on my car with 310x32mm 2 piece discs, the braking power is very impressive. But its complete overkill and really upsets the balance of the car, and wet weather driving is just well.. plain scary. Ive also found when you get them really hot i get a...
