the tailgate on my car is de-badged at the moment but i have defects in the paint where the 'clio' badge was. so do i...
- stick the 197 rs badge on (in silver) (with grey diamond)
- 197 badge in silver and fit silver diamond
- 197 badge on but colour code it to match rear diamond
- put a...
15" looks fine on ph2's as long as its lowered more than 40mm.
cheaper tyres too. not really many advantages tbh. cheaper, lighter.
i would like some 15" wheels but my car is on sportlines not coilovers. 15's look great on apex but i wouldn't really want apex springs again.
just do what i did.
just remove the washers, blank the pipes off, buy rubber grommets from halfords or local motor store for about 99p. job done! looks better, no more leaking and no more spraying on a clean car! i have had no trouble with mot either. much cheaper than buying cup...
i have had apex and eibach sportlines.
-the apex gave a better looking drop but not very good handling/ride quality
-the sportlines gave an ok drop (about 15mm less than the apex) but the handling was much better, ride was a little crashy but not half as bad as the apex.
wheel arches need dressing. the rest looks spot on (pics look a little poor quality tho). good effort. cant be arsed to spend more than 2 hours max on mine!
search for pics of steve172's flamer. it looks awesome. its a flamer on 15" 2118's and apex springs. think his is 50 not 45 tho. hope you dont mind steve.
here is one.
or two
jcc- i see your problem if you were going back to oem top mounts and had thrown all of the old bits away. but if you got that kit from renault (renewing oem for oem), could the insert and nut be re-used of the old top mounts? as the parts renault supply are just the bits that wear out by the...
anti roll bar.
yes, they do make them for clio's. think its balance motorsport. fred had a group buy going a while back. good bit of kit so i hear. upper strut braces are a bit of a waste of time on clio's.
they are rubbish. throw them in the bin and stick with the standard topmounts which are fine for the job.
i tried everything to get the compbrake ones tight but i couldnt stop them knocking and moving.
turbines would really suit that. a think a fun colour would look good, red, green etc. i don't like white wheels, and grey or black wouldn't stand out enough.
i removed my tints a while ago now. i didn't really like the way they looked.
if you are going to tint them, go for a fairly light tint all round. the back 3 dark and fronts un-tinted look stupid imo.
this was mine with tints (about a year ago)
as it is now
the car is so much...
i noticed a difference when i replaced the crap 182 wheels with my ultraleggeras. felt more nimble. the brakes cool down much better now too.
turini's are not light.
good selection there.
sneaky one of mine in there too (b/g 182 af04 rcy)
was good to see poples cars in the metal that you only usually see photo's of on here
no i didn't see you either! where were you hiding?
im not sure how much its running, i think its about 220 / 230 bhp. its a standard ed30 engine and turbo, just mapped, kw coils, r888's and a skilled driver. he used to compete in mk2 golf racing, he came first over all last year :) took a year...
tyre place to be honest because you might struggle to get them off without proper tools for the job without damaging the rim.
but if you must remove them yourself. push the sidewall into the centre of the wheel as much as you can as you are levering them off.
to be honest i would be very supprised if any standard 182 exhaust isn't rotten or has pin holes in it. they are quite poor quality. prob time to upgrade to a stainless steel one.
