Well yea, but there are a quite a few people on here that have been struggling to shift absolute minters for less than £7k, the market is full of them at the moment and no one seems to want to buy :( But I was more giving the buyer a little haggling advise heh - £6.2k would be a good buy for...
Yea I wouldn't be going any further than these basic mods - and I agree the power claims do sound a bit optimistic as I said hehe! I was only copying the numbers direct from the K-Tec site - although it could be that the stock induction an exhaust are a bit pony? Perhaps Renault didn't want it...
Assuming it is in exceptional condition, offer him £6000 for cash would be my call ;) The front splitter is missing and that's £120 or so to replace, and it needs a smart repair on the front bumper - £60 or so from Chips Away. Also he shows a hideous lack of taste with chequer plate mats heh...
Dude you do know we're not talking about your car yea ;)?
It'll be fine dude, don't let all the pessemists put you off. The important thing is to make sure it's not recorded, so you're not shafted when it comes to resale ;)

Cup has no real benefit over FF in the 182. It's no quicker as it's not really any lighter. And often, they're priced the same 2nd hand. If I were you I'd be looking for a 182 FF with Cup Packs - or at least the suspension, then you have the handling of the Cup with the extra toys and decent...
Hmm yea that is a really good point to be fair. Maybe I'll listen to all the ones with exhausts/induction kits etc at FCS an see if I fall in love with the sound of any of them - as the slightly more grunty noise is what I'm fancying - then maybe consider just doing that.
Dan
Ooo cheers for that, I'll try source a copy :)
Edde - Yea that's what the head says as it does drive beautifully heh! Thing is I enjoy the modding, and I didn't dare on the Vee because of how rare they are etc, I didn't wanna bugger up the resale hehe :) I'm a wuss like that.
I'm considering whether I need a K-Tec exhaust, sports cat, K-Tec ITG Maxogen induction kit and K-Tec (or RSTuning) remap.
Now according to the K-Tec site (http://www.k-tecracing.com/catalogue.asp?app=Clio%20197) , and this has all been dyno proven apparently, the K-Tec exhaust is worth 7bhp...
Update here, I do have the whole toolkit thing (never rely on what you're told heh), literally just the jack is missing. Also there is no tyre foam under my passenger Recaro - assuming that is where it's meant to be...? Is the foam something I could get from the dealer - as I'm doing a long trip...
The only advantage I can think of is a spare wheel...? And I suppose about 2 mpg as well - but if you care about 2mpg (what's that, 15/20 miles a tank?) then a hot hatch isn't really for you hehe ;)
Interested to hear your thoughts though? Having never actually owned either I feel you're more...
Yea I meant the Ed 30. These new 260bhp versions of that engine (as in this TT) have a whole different set of bits again! So I'd expect a remap to give the same sorta gain - plus the extra 30bhp over the Ed30 - so maybe actually with the big IC and Miltek you'd be looking at 350bhp...?
Just to throw another option out there - I had a 206 XSi 1.6 16v before the Vee, and it was a great car. Never put a single foot wrong reliability wise in 3 years of ownership. Was good on fuel too, I drove it hard and usually got about 35mpg. It would do 45mpg on a run. Had auto...
Surely though, a TDi defeats the point of a TT for 95% of buyers, who just wanna pose around? Because let's face it, you can't pull up outside your trendy wine bar with your tractor engine clattering. Not so bad when you arrive and it's warm, but when you come to leave...
Dan
The 230bhp standard spec 2.0T FSis make over 300bhp from a map - ISTR from reading Evo that this 260bhp version has an uprated everything, inc the turbo, so I reckon with that work you just described you'd be looking at closer 340bhp you know...
I like that one though - SO, SO much nicer than...
