I'm thinking new shocks might be best actually, as I hadn't factored in the cost of getting the coilovers properly set up. Plus, if I sell the car I'd probably put back to standard, so would need new shocks anyway. How can I tell if I need new shocks all round or just front ones?

I've actually managed to get mine in now...JUST! However the case doesn't 'click' in and hold like previous cars I've owned have done. Is there any way to correct this? Does this just unclip? Is it easy to remove?

My invoice said something like heater control panel, so I think they are one and the same. It's £120 new, and can be fitted yourself easily (well, it's a bit of a pain but not complicated)

I would use them, but £70 to fix it, when I could probably only sell it for £60 or so is a bit pointless now. Ideally I'll pay someone off here who knows how to fix them £15 or so, at least then I could sell it as working and make a bit of money back. Or I could just forget about it and move on.

I ended up buying a new one for £120 from the local Renault garage as I was bored of the problem. Fortunately it all now works, so hopefully ClioSpares will give me a refund on the one they sold me as it's obviously faulty.

That labour charge is ridiculous. I rate myself 0/10 when it comes to car mechanics, but even I managed it.
