Major things I've noticed that made it worthwhile for me:
- Smoother power delivery throughout rev range
- Smoother running when cold, no more 'kangaroo' effect
I have noticed a slight decrease in MPG, but this might be caused by something else.
To be honest, I'm probably confusing everyone because I can't make my mind up.
If the current shocks are fine, then I won't change anything. I did lean on the front of the car the other day, and they felt quite stiff, but it wasn't bouncing around like you say, so maybe they're ok.
Another...
Oh I see. These were the ones I was looking at - http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2853&appid=2
I think I'll get new front shocks for now and leave it at that. Thanks
I'm thinking new shocks might be best actually, as I hadn't factored in the cost of getting the coilovers properly set up. Plus, if I sell the car I'd probably put back to standard, so would need new shocks anyway.
How can I tell if I need new shocks all round or just front ones?
All your answers are above. I'm happy with the sportlines stance, but a bit lower would be nice I suppose. I have some spirited drives but nothing too manic!
Hi all,
I have a 182 on OE shocks (original as far as I know, car on 61k miles), and Eibach Sportline springs. I've noticed over the past 2-3 months that the car is feeling very bumpy. Going over small bumps in the road it really feels like the car is taking a battering.
I'm assuming the...
Ok, that's good to know.
I bought it from NorthWest Performance - http://www.northwestperformance.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=20&osCsid=rkpihhbh6qkls8ag6r515on800
Is this a cheapo one? Will it make much difference if it is?
Hi all,
My exhaust is blowing slightly (I think) and I want to fix it.
I recently resealed (and put a new clamp) on the cat-cat back join, and I also recently fitted a new gasket/bolts to the manifold-cat join. However I did not use sealant on the manifold-cat bit.
1. Should I have...
See my thread here - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?544408-Heater-fans-won-t-turn-off-resistor-pack
My symptoms were that the fans were stuck on full blast, however not working at all is also the same problem. It's the heater resistor pack, around £120 new from a Renault dealer...
I've actually managed to get mine in now...JUST! However the case doesn't 'click' in and hold like previous cars I've owned have done. Is there any way to correct this?
Does this just unclip? Is it easy to remove?
My invoice said something like heater control panel, so I think they are one and the same. It's £120 new, and can be fitted yourself easily (well, it's a bit of a pain but not complicated)
I just posted this in another thread, but I'm having the same issue. There is simply not enough room to get the bloody unit in, I really don't know what to do!!
I fitted the cables so that the steering wheel controls work with my Alpine headunit. It all works fine, but now there are so many cables I can't even get the headunit in half way :(
I am so annoy. I just kicked a bush to vent my anger, as I'd been out in the cold for an hour trying to get the...
I would use them, but £70 to fix it, when I could probably only sell it for £60 or so is a bit pointless now.
Ideally I'll pay someone off here who knows how to fix them £15 or so, at least then I could sell it as working and make a bit of money back. Or I could just forget about it and move on.
No idea I'm afraid.
Hey, if you manage to fix your old one, I'd happily pay you to fix my old one as well, at least then I have a spare should it ever break again.
I ended up buying a new one for £120 from the local Renault garage as I was bored of the problem. Fortunately it all now works, so hopefully ClioSpares will give me a refund on the one they sold me as it's obviously faulty.
