Hello everyone,
I hope it's ok to post this thread. It's not really a project, more just a thread to post the progress of my car as it's been an interesting (expensive!) first 9 months of ownership.
I passed my test 6 months to the day after my 17th birthday, back in 2002. For the first 8...
Track rod end?
How much for the part and how much time for labour did you have to pay?
Could this also be the cause for slightly uneasy handling in a straight line when accelerating (car feels like it wants to go left and right, but not straight)
I'm glad you've posted this as I have the exact same thing at the moment. It only seems to happen when pulling away and turning at the same time. Or braking.
Ok, so I have an Arctic Blue car, with silver bullets and diamonds (standard), and anthracite Turinis. What colour should I paint my callipers?
Black, or Silver?
Very good idea. I looked at this last night online and it was £99.99, today it's back up to £129.99. I'll go check it out in store though.
Fair enough, one less thing to do :)
Should I put anything on the face of the brake disc to protect it from rusting? I've just got Turinis on my car so want to keep it all looking pretty :)
Thanks Jonny. I'm going to leave the lines well alone. Am I right in thinking that I'll need something to support the calliper once it's off the disc to avoid it hanging by the lines?
I'm going to take this opportunity to pain the callipers as well. I might paint them while the old discs are...
Hi all,
I don't have very many tools, so just want to check that based on the following guide:

I'll need to pick up:
13mm spanner
17mm spanner...
haha! Oh dear, are these kind of thing look upon quite badly then?
Well, as I say, I'll stick them on and if they look crap I'll take them off. It's only £5 :)
Probably been posted before (searched but couldn't find anything). Thought these might be of interest to some people.
I'll be painting my callipers black soon and thought I'd try these to spruce it up a little. If it looks gash I'll take them off, but they look quite good in the pictures...
