I am SUCH a r****d. I also have Halfords jack, and to get the front up in the air, I have to jack the car with the one that comes in the boot a bit, then use the trolley jack to do the rest. I didn't even think of driving the car onto something to give extra clearance :o
Oh, and I use the...
I was considering a decat, but I ended up just getting a cat mod done and having the centre silencer removed, sounds perfect for me now :) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DIwGScQG84
My name is Nick, did we meet in Southend?
Looks like you lot had an awesome time last year. I hope this year is a good one for you all too :)
Do you usually all go in your own cars, or do you buddy up?
We could do with a little member's map in this section, showing everyone's location, so for times like this we know where is best for everyone :)
I'm in East Sussex, but happy to travel as I like driving :)
I can have three flashes and a set of wireless triggers with me, so anyone with a DSLR can have a go at some off camera flash stuff as well. I've only got two light stands, so may need some 'human' light stands to help out :p
Anything around Thurrock area is good for me. Somewhere quiet, but a little industrial looking I think would be great.

I'd be up for it. I'm a wedding photographer by trade (well, part time), and I've not done any car photography, but I'd certainly like to give it a go. Did you have anything specific in mind?
My Flickr shows off some of my non-car stuff - http://www.flickr.com/photos/scarysquirrel :)
If we had...
This is one of my favourites, no idea whose it is, but I love it:
It's pretty much how I want mine, I just need to get my bullets sprayed (end of the month job), and sort my ride height out a bit. I want to be the same height as this, but I'm on KTR coilovers which are quite soft and rub a...
So a subtle nose down stance is generally best?
I did find something on a BMW forum which said something about weight distribution, nose down meaning that more weight is on the front, resulting in better grip and less understeer. However go too far and you could potentially have 'nose diving'...
Hi all,
I've done a bit of Googling, but couldn't find what I was after.
I wondered what the general effect on handling is with different ride heights. Such as, what are the handling characteristics for a car which is lowered, with the front low and the rear high (nose done), or the front high...
AMD fitted my Milltek :)
Ahh, I've just noticed they do wheel alingment as well, might get my bits and bobs done there instead of Elite, as it's next door :)
