iv got same problem although mine is a cup and doesn't register any speed so i know its not circlip as i had it happen before,suspected clutch on mine but shall find out one its pulled apart

I got a cover from halfords as needed it asap at the time.. Mines softly lined and has a hook on each corner which go under the front/rear of the car to keep it tight
Mine was rattling for 50k.. Belts had just been done before bought car... In the end tho my power was dowb when I put it on the rollers a few weeks ago.. Now iv had it changed it runs so much better and is certainly quicker again
i took the grinder to my old discs few weeks ago as this happend.. just ground the remainder of the screw flat after i'd ground through the head of it or as G172 says impact driver sorts it out
