If it doesn't have to be a Clio - consider 206 1.6 - a better car IMHO.
<puts on flame proof suit>
But if you have your heart set on a Clio that's fair, they're good cars as well - keep looking, and don't just settle on the first one you find, make sure it's a good one :)

Probably my favorite picture of my Vee, feel free to browse the others from the same shoot at http://www.danbayes.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=10
Or http://www.danbayes.com/gallery for any others - I have high rez versions of all :)

Great pics dude, 3 especially attractive motors. I tested an R32 before I bought the Vee. I got the feeling it would be awesomely quick cross country in any conditions, but it just felt a bit unexciting somehow. 3 figure speeds were acheived very quickly and smoothly but it didn't feel like...
20mpg, 30mpg on a long nun-drive run. If you care about MPG - this is 100% NOT the right car for you.
Servicing normal, every 12k or 2 years. Tyres, (mines a Mk1) £50-£150 a corner depending how much you value your handling.
Road presence - like nothing I've ever known - people WILL take...
Was it one of those 'mobile' rolling roads like they've used on TG and the like? Because sometimes they don't even have fans at the front - that'll be where the power went heh. And if that's the case, by hell I bet the Punto got warm :s

What a strange point of view...
You're saying a car would handle better with a better driver essentially - which is patently untrue. He may be able to do more with a bad handling car, but he won't make it better.
In reality there isn't much to choose between any of the Ph2 1*2s - like...
DC5 - the interior that they're gonna be shoving into the cup just ruins the whole car.
Can you spec cup suspension on a quality spec 197 yet? Aside from the R27 of course.

Took a few photos tonight in the station car park of my V6 and Stace's Starlet GT Turbo. They came out pretty well, especially considering we were only using my little Exilim point and shoot, just a selection here, the full lot can be seen on my website HERE.
Hope you all...
