You have to remember though, suspension and tyres have come a long way since big power FWD cars were first invented. Also, on the point of things like 300bhp Focus STs, most of them don't make 300bhg till you're in 4th gear and above (referring to conversions such as the Wolf 300) because of the...
To be honest, and I don't know obviously if this is true, but I'd imagine it's a fair bet that Renault and their market research bods do read forums such as this one. It's free market reasearch heh.

I used to get this all the time. But when I pulled up at the Renault garage the other week in the Vee, on my own, I was offered a test drive before I'd even asked heh. Never had that before - I'm blaming the Vee. I don't think it looks good if you take a mate with you either, might look like...
Thanks Alan :) Yea I've seen Ali's on V6Clio, there was a bit of discussion about what exhaust it was when he got the car IIRC hehe. K-Tec have done two versions of it, they look the same, except the newer one (last 12 monthsish I think) has adjustable clamps and apparently sounds a little...
Thanks dude :) K-Tec's own one. Scored off a lad on V6Clio.net, it had only done 6 months work or something. Then I took it to my local fast fit Hi-Q to get it fitted haha. Their look of total confusion was worth it :) But they did it, and it was only £30 and seems a spot on job, so all...
Hitting the limiter a few times to see where it is won't hurt the car, that's what it's there for, to stop you doing damage :) Having said that, I've never hit it in the Vee, because it'll rev over 7k without getting there, and I just can't bring myself to rev any further. Also, there is no...
It's illegal if you ever plan to sell it, unless you document it and tell the new owner, and even then, it's dodgy. And one assumes you wouldn't be telling them otherwise you wouldn't bother to roll it back...
Dan
*IF* you can get one for around £11k - that'll be a fscking bargain. Surely even the 197 haters will have to concede that hehe :) £11k for a brand spanking new ~200bhp hot hatch.

Aside from all the driving god stories on here, in the actual real world you'd need a long straight (like, 5 miles...) to get past a 180 in a 182 in a straight line. I have plenty of experience of both. The 180 interior in miles better than the 182, but the 182 is waaaay more fun to drive and...
I like blue ones :) Sweet.
I think the 18s and Ph2 spoiler look wrong on Ph1s tho - just IMHO - leave it as it is. Plus, you're adding weight and have to use spacers for the front wheels - I know there's nothing wrong with spacers really but the idea of them just doesn't sit right with me.
Dan
I've driven both. S3 is comfy but not very interesting (IMHO) and didn't 'feel' that quick. The 182 is buckets more fun, and the ride isn't so hard it dislodges your lungs :) I have never owned either though, so this is based on a couple of half hour test drives in the S3 and quite a few...
Queueing to get out outside the merchandise stands at Spa race circuit after the F1 race, blue 172 with Turinis, 03 or 53 plate, 'ring sticker on the back.
Anyone from here?
