its tucked away in the garage mate. where it has been steadily getting spruced up a bit for the last 2 years ;) engine out as soon as i get my hoist back. new box/clutch ready to go in.
its been a while since it saw a road tbh. far too long. hoping to have it out this year if the weather...
lol....no mate.
mines back to showroom now ;)... the other....well.....its a little sorry for itself.
the trophy isnt a patch on either of them tho imho ;)
as above. the std ecu is more than capable, if you get it mapped properly itl be a flier.
the expense of a stand alone ecu is a bit drastic tho tbh, unless your going to mod further at a later stage, e.g bodies.
yeah, 260s and you dont really lose any btm end, but gain in mid/high rev range. thatd be my choice for a good all rounder. bit more wild profile and then you start losing at the btm but gaining more mid range/top end.

lol @ brewers knowledge of the car....or lack of...
im sure he bumped no.0002 , stromba hates him with a passion, and its had a new front end...coincidence??
and spend a shedload on ecu/wiring etc?
most iv seen have been running twin 40s, be it weber or delorto. for the std 8v setup a nikki carb isnt a bad upgrade from the single su, unless youv already upgraded to the bigger hs4. got quite good gains with my nikki, and had a cool little window in...
would be better on carbs surely. ease of fitment no ecu etc. unless its 1 of the later injected models. but the OPs is an 87 version so will be carbed anyway. and only a 998, classed as a 1000cc, rather than the 1297 or did they just stick to the 1275 to class it as a 1300?
depends really. iv heard good reports of using the 2x bmw bike heads resulting in a 16v unit. not sure on cost/machining tho. cant be much dearer than going the j/k valver head or thr minisport 7 porter.
im sure wev already had this convo....... med, minisport, jack knight, minispares, wood & picket, era, longman etc etc etc ALL sell/sold the engines as 1340s with the poss exception of era, as such thats what they are known as. a bit like reno selling the clios as 17/82s lol
id still pick the mini over a 17/82 tbh. like you say they arent exactly the most reliable of things, but thats part of the ownership experience lol. i only stopped driving mine for same reasons, wasnt reliable enough to use as a full on daily.....i bought a valver instead and never looked...
good going in the valver. havent come across a type r on a trackday for years tbh. this is the last time i encountered one. cam car was craggys uber quick saxo, hed been chasing the teg for a few laps ... ;)

i had ktec/yozza on, sounded pretty good tbh. have now got rs192 fitted, fitting wasnt bad, even on the driveway, it isnt lined up 100% but by time id got it on somewhere near id had enough of laying on the cold flags tbh lol. 10 mins on a ramp and itl be sweet tho. sounds like a wet fart...
yes. but its also easy to notice the other differences if you know what your looking for. its like sayimg a trophy and a cup are the same except the colour. when in reality theyr poles apart.
i beg to differ. the majority of williams i know of have had as much of a hard life as any valver i know of. how you can say the owners care more about them is a joke....i cared about my valvers, which im sure the majority of valver owners also do. i care about my williams, again, as im sure...
