F**k me you don't do things by half. I want to trim my car down a bit but thats a bit mental and alot of metal. I also get to the point where I start to think about asthetics and that always buggers me up. 'Do I remove this and if so can I live with that hole there?' etc.
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
James I was hoping you'd get some pictures up from Friday and they didn't disappoint. I have to say the quality of metal on the track must have been a bit scary especially as most of them were twice the size...
You were quick on track at Oulton on Friday, only you and the other fiesta were the only two small cars to pass me after lunch once the track had dried. Only my second outing in the Clio and I look forward to getting the car up to spec and coming back to Oulton. Have to say the Fiesta is a bit...
Go back to bed, get well and then re evaluate the situation. If the car doesn't want for anything how do you know you wont end up buying a car thats a dog.
The problem with Lunar grey was when they launched the car and it was first at the motor show the lighting on the car made it look like it was in primer. With all the prospective customers that Renault had invited along seeing that it did kind of take the edge off Lunar Grey.
I have to say the instructor session was worth its weight in gold. Drove a solid 45 minute session in the afternoon correct lines, no brake fade (blue stuff pads are awsome) and all I need now is some track tyres and the arb when it arrives.
The place I use run offers. I was after the PE2's tbh but they said they had a deal on the rainsports so I said I'd take them. Silly cheap tbh and I wish I'd bought 8 at that price.
I got 2 Uniroyal rainsport 2's 195 45 15's about 2 months ago for £56 fitted. Awsome tyres and they grip amazingly well. When the rears need changing I'll be getting the same.
Some good information there Phil, I guess I'll need to strip my car down some more to pass it off as a 'track car'. It is a track car but at present still looks like a normal road car.
Friend of mine is currently building a MKI with a 2.0 16vT in it should be fun to drive when finished. How much do you reckon you can sell it for once its all sorted?
Having sold a MK2 abf 2 years ago and bought a 172 ph1 track car recently (added to that 7 years driving and selling Renaults) the differences are as follows. The golf is a very raw cat bit it would be as even the youngest models are 21 years old now. The 172, cup and 182 are all new age go...
I'd guess there is more chance of a gold fish riding a chocolate bike across hot coals whilst knitting fog than the op listening to advice given on here. I'd suggest a thread lock before the inevitable happens.
