Ok so the rear bearings are 'orbis' from ecp part number 77 01 463 523. If these are no good I can get the stainless set from Renault at cost tomorrow.
Ok so how will I know if they are mild steel or stainless? Does it say on the box? I got them off a mate with the rear discs and front and rear pads for a nifty.
Nice looking car fella, I bought a flamer ph1 back end of November. I have a rake load of brake stuff to be fitted and a whiteline arb on the way. I like what you've done with the back of yours, caqn't say I know anything about the wiring you moved but the satin black looks sweet I might have to...
Looks like I got tucked up then, wish I knew that yesterday Fred when I over spent by £30. Incidently how much to fit the above with front and rear discs pads and bearings as well?
There are some f*****g retards out there, drilling a fuel tank of a Clio ffs, if your lucky you'll get £30 of fuel they aren't exactly the largest tanks known to man, I'm sure my lunch box is bigger.

LOL Ash, made me laugh when you said about doing testing if money allows it, £299 track days at Donington won't help. I want a picture of the bacon sandwich I've never seen one worth £100 before ;).
Seriously...
Chip I'm sure you'd make a great drinking buddy with some of the discussions we could have. I guess we'll have to agree to see less than eye to eye on this.
In theory what your saying is right, but noone puts the diference to one side. Thats the issue, as I stated people only remember what they pay monthly not what they put in to get to that deposit. Your looking on it on the basis that you'd save the money, history has shown that never happens. If...
Ok to clarify my point (I went off on a bit of a tangent), Pcp's are mostly capped at a deposit level of around 35% (some are slightly lower some higher). If you put down the maximum deposit say £3500 on a £10,000 car you will reduce your payments. The issue that will arise (ignoring the saving...

Never mind reach them from that distance I'd have trouble seeing them.
Epic build by the way Ash, look forward to seeing this beast in the metal and on the move.
GFV Are designed to leave equity in the cars thats the point of them, the trick with a pcp is to put in a small deposit so you don't have deposit erosion. If you put in £3000 to get a lower monthly payment the GFV is calcualted on the car bought, the mileage your doing. Lets say the equity is...
To be fair Chip unless the mileage agreed was exceeded by 20,000 miles the price for a px would vary very little and certainly not enough for a dealer to walk away from a deal. Condition of car on a px is far more important that a few miles more even on a pcp agreement. To the OP I'd recommend...
I am a huge VW fan but the MKIV GTI is a barge, the 1.8T isn't all that unless you get it fettled with to realease a few more ponies. The 1.8T engine in a MKII is where its at, lightweight car and alot of power, I have a few friends running 300bhp MKII 1.8T's. As a standard comparison there is...
