Lol he's talking about me dude I do know the guy, fab'd, fitted, wired and mapped on omex under 1k. Hutchie also rocks out itb's for very little cost
It's also my idea about being able to charge it for under 1k, seeing as the mini chargers can be had for a couple of hundred.
It's me he's talking about running bodies for under 1k , and I run Omex600. The charger idea would be me using the one from a mini.
Russ' £600 included re-couping money from bits sold, mine doesn't.

See i'd leave coilpack and ht leads to the last of my list because even if one of the leads went or a dodgy coilpack it would still start... albeit on fewer cylinders
If you really wanted to you could cut the whole tip off, cut the inches off and re-weld back so you wouldn't loose the OMP if thats what you were worried about.
I'd also have burnt my leg by now on it if that was my car lol
I run omex and I did my conversion under £1k that does not include anything like selling parts not needed anymore etc. So as Russ says completely possible.
I'll have a graph from the place I first took my car to soon aswell so I'll throw that up for comparison too
I drove to a rolling road, parked up. Wouldnt start as soon as I went to drive on.......... Grab any tdc from any renault, I used a big fat mo fo from a laguna to get it started for mapping
I was still getting a reading on the standard crank sensor from omex but wouldn't start, replaced with one from a ford blacktop engine (same as supplied from omex but cheaper to find yourself) and job done!
If its crank sensor it will still be turning over though.
If its not even turning over...
It'll not be like using a diag software anyway dude. You'll need to judge by whats happening with the car and the values you are getting for different things, whats up anyway?
What are you using any kind of convertor for the wire chris? Try all the other usb ports.
What worked for me the first time was having the usb plugged into the computer, key turned to ign but not started, checked my alarm and immob was off, then pressed connect on map3000 and then plugged in...
