best braking is at the point just before locking up, like a bit of slip is good. my point is that the car without abs who is braking at this point will poull up quicker than the car thats abs-ing along...
see your wrong, to get full braking in the wet you dont want abs kicking in, if you had the same car with and without abs, and the car without abs is braking fully without the wheels locking will pull up quicker than the same car with abs pumping the brakes for you.
so why would i need to pump...
yeah as maz said. if has the dark wheels and therefore the cup suspension pack it could well have the spoiler pack but the front splitter might be missing. has it got a little or big spoiler on the back? then you'd know if missing or not
firstly well done mate youll love it...
1) if its got the cup suspension it should have the dark anth coloured alloys on it.
2) it wont have the cup spoiler pack, yes they fairly easy to fit, get them from a dealer although about 130 quid.! can get carbon ones from ktec for 105 though that...
a couiple of quid thats it.. use some of the other advice like plenty of warm soapy water on first to try and loosen them up a little bit then just rub with one of these mesh sponges.. gets every last mark off mine:cool:
think mine has this problem, the exhaust has dropped slightly but its now knocking on the rear suspension bar when you go over a bad bump! doesnt sound too clever.
i replaced the rear mount this morning and it has helped it as the original had collapsed a bit, but the backbox doesnt sit flat...
i might get some of these, as think the std ones sit a bit too proud of the windscreen! and also be good as winter comes etc.
so do i need the classic fusion 21" at 14 quid each, thats not bad at all
because its a good thing for 99% of drivers out there who are completley incapable and unable to control a car in more or less any situation, never mind a potential accident situation.!!!
Anyone who actually understands car control and are a capable driver shouldnt have a problem having no abs:)
yeah i just meant ive not had any issue with insurance companies refusing to insure...
i think if you are a good driver youd be able to stop aswel as abs in any situation, its only when abs is used in conjunction with various stability controls and brake distribution systems could they...
You can get insurance, ive not had any problems... and its pretty cheap too with directline.
ive driven cars with and without abs. On those with it i've never had it kick in once,, its all about how sensable you are, if its cold, wet, icy, you drive slow. simple.
