Actually above is aa good good point of the 197, it just doesnt have the same performance per £££ as the 172/182s, but weve had it good for so long with them and the 197 is a lot nicer car (not better, faster, or whatever but it is nicer) so its a thumbs up from me..
yeah mine are from costco, only reason 190 for the set is 1, i can claim the vat back and 2, they had a 20% off offer on a full set. but even before any offers a full set of pe2's is 280ish inc vat and fitting etc etc
ah yes ive seen them bushes, well im going to get one of these inlet manifolds so will get it looked at when thats been fitted.!
are you pulling the engine forward at the top? so basically just changing the angle of it
yeah sounds from passenger footwell, rite i think were on the same wavelength here.. so what are we actually doing just tilting the engine forward a bit? and i cant find this dog bone thing on the ktec site, dont suppose u cud get us a link?
ive heard a bit about this now and seems quite popular. im keen on it as its not noticeable that its done to anyone, doesnt make the car sound any different etc.
but.... for the guys who have had it done, what sort of gains if any am i going to make from this? is it worth the 170 odd quid? and...
fair point but if reno are going to make a 170hp fwd car with no traction control they should kinda expect it to wheel spin at some point, specially in the wet!
think ill just deal with it, suprised there isnt a fix for this though
I think your theory souinds right rory about the wheel bouncing. It must get to a certain resonant frequency that causes the repeated bouncing, because if its spinning and im at full throttle it makes no noise its only if im on like half throttle (trying to be careful!!!)
whats the definition of axle tramp?
want to know what is exactly happening when i hear it, what is actually making the noise. should i just not worry about it or try drive around it:)
i dread to think what it sounds like on the outside, its horrible in the car. will see what happens when change tyres, im on contisports at the moment but pe2's are going on next!
nice well done id try get a go in that e46 m3 thats sat behind it,, my best was taking an m3 csl around rockingham when i was 20. that has the paddle shift too so was very 'playstation'
