Update last night: Spent ages getting 1 security wheel nut off. I mean at least a few hours. My welder wasnt just up for the job! Attempted the second and so I didnt get anywhere. Have a mig welder 450. Ill get the car to the garage today at some point so they can have a go at the weld...

That is pretty awesome stuff man! I have amig welder with 0.6mm wire at home. With a Carbon Dioxide / argon mix gas as well. Out of practice myself for a few years but I may do it myself so I know it'd done properly. It would require a proper cut job on it.
