The purple plug. What is it? Should it be connected and if so, where? I've just found it dangling there.

Car is clio 172.
Where should it be connected?
330i. E30 Touring.
If you don't have cruise, nowhere.
If you have cruise, it should be connected to the clutch pedal switch.
