All my future zooms will be 2.8 minimum. that extra stop of speed is invaluable. IMO any lens even canon L glass needs to be stopped down a stop for optimum sharpness. Thats not to say its not sharp wide open (it is!) but if you are a geeky pixel peeper like myself the difference is obvious and...

I too have the Tamron 10-24 lens and its best at 10mm f5.6-8. Its pretty poor wide open to be honest but stopped down is very sharp in the central region, but the corners never really become sharp which isn't a problem for me as...
My advice would have been (as I note you asked the afternoon before your shoot!) to ignore flash altogether and focus on natural light, maybe with a reflector!
Cheers Dan, yep you nailed it, I went to Ogmore first and then for a quick check on Dunraven (again!) and the wet sand seduced me before an almighty storm rolled in only to clear 10 mins before sunset!
Nice sunrise A_Cro and you can straighten the masts by using the vertical (manual) tool in...
My favorite would be two but more could have been made of those sand dunes for a lead in line and better exposure balancing would equal much more vibrant and saturated colours. Looks like sky is washed out and foreground underexposed.

I think you can have arty plane shots and I would count some of those above as just that. I did an sir show recently and loved it. Only thing I would say is that a lot of the shots are very samey. I saw a stunning plane shot taken at riat of al furzan but tbh the same shot has been taken before...
Do you mean the 75-300? 70-300 usm is a great lens for the price.

Edit. I see it's the macro kit lens version not the usd but great shots all the same.
Thanks mate, your opinion means a lot. Re the wedding photography, what do you consider as pro gear? Are we talking ff and f1.4 for low light and flattering dof.
