It really wasn't that bad up there, they'd clearly put some effort into clearing all their roads, unlike down here.
Its a road that runs between Appleby and Kendal, I think it is the A685.

Looks like a decent buy if you got him down to 3k, but I'd have thought it would have sold if it is as good as it looks.
I think I am the 8th owner of my Cup, it was a little "chavved" up when I bought it but mechanically and cosmetically it was spot on. I think you can generally tell if a car has been looked after when you view it.
But what I would say is make sure you have done a full £20 HPI check, one thing...
I'd walk away, as said there are plenty about for sale at the minute.
I bought a TT and didn't do a comprehensive HPI check, 3 months in a man with a trailer turned up trying to take it away as it had something like 12k outstanding on it. The guy I bought it off hadn't had finance on it...
One fuse had blown, for a sidelight. But it must also have something to do with the rear light on the same side and the clocks. It all works fine now, I just need to replace a headlight bulb.
For some reason my NS head light, NS rear light, OS side light and interior dial lights have all decided to pack up.
I'm pretty sure it's not the bulbs at fault and will check the fuses in the daylight tomorrow.

I've seen those binatone ones, I think they've been designed with calling in mind. The letters on the buttons are still very small so texting would he difficult, I think a qwerty keypad would be better.
Give it a call and say you are calling with regards to his advert on ebay for the 172 he is breaking, if it is the wrong number he'll just think you are abit crazy.
