What is the Mintex part number: MDB2555 or MDB1677 both of these come up as the same pad but one is thicker than the other. I know the 172 is the thinner pads but it isnt clear which?:S
Sounds like it, it will mean your car will have the cat with 2 sensors like the ph2, it also means no alloy bonnet, no shift light and also its in a higher tax band.
I can understand how you feel...I used to have AOL.
To be fair its a good price, worth a good look over, if the rear bumper was damaged I wander how much they are from Renault?
Hmmm just checked renault dialogys, the abs ring is definatly not available seperatly, Im sure Ive seen them somewhere.
Anyone who has a 172 cup will have some spare.
Save the money on the 1.4, you will probably look back and regret wasting the cash.
Edde, build a kit car and wack a V12 in it. Ok a Cobra is probably a bad example but something like a caterham. Thats my dream when the vw beetle project is finished.
What type has your car got as I think theres 2 for Clios, thinking about it there should be a way to fit it onto a standard terminal, have you took it apart and had a look?
This pretty much covers everything:
Converting your mk2ph1 lights to the sport optic lights
The double optic lights not only improve looks but they are much brighter and light up for a longer distance. The double optics were fitted to the higher end clios including the 1.4si, 1.6rsi, 2.0...
Ive made a guide in the guide section if you cannot access it pm me. Basically check everything on the car thats made of rubber, engine mounts, exhaust mounts, gaitors, etc. The engines are pretty much bullet proof. Check the exhaust and dont be put off by a worn steering wheel.
Have you got a standard exhaust? If you uprate the renault mounts it will soon fall apart, the renault ones allow for movement for a reason. Also dont upgrade the rear one alone, do the middle at the same time. The rear mount relies on the middle one to be just as strong, if the middle is worn...
Look on the front of the gearbox (passenger side). There will be a black butterfly screw.
I had a grande and the selector/rod underneath the plastic shield under the car was very dry, greased this and worked a treat but mine wasnt as severe as couldnt get it in gear.
The pumps are only £10 from Renault or about £7 from Halfords. Take the scuttle panel off and look down the side of the washer bottle, it will have some water pipes connected to it.
