    Exchange 2007, Redundant Servers/Load balancing

We use mimecast for dr at the moment, think we are their top reseller (meaning we get it free lol, we never pay for anything, which normally means the products we use internally are the best as we have the choice to use them all. So I'd recommend the products we use) and are looking to use...

    Exchange 2007, Redundant Servers/Load balancing

I'd have to agree, 2010 is definitely the way to go, some cool new features in outlook 2010 too, we have headshot pics against emails and some cool thins with calendars. Although I think office is still in rc, exchange is fully out, I've installed it In a test environment but not in a live...

    PDF File?

Why's he right? It will take the op 5 mins max of getting this into word, it's not exactly difficult. Plus he wouldn't be asking for help tonight if he could just ask them for a copy in word, will save everyone time.

    PDF File?

And you work in IT, shame on you!

    PDF File?

Just go to edit the doc, then copy and paste all the text into a work document. Simples but then converting them back to PDF is slightly more difficult, unless you have word 2007, think that allows you to save as a PDF, or just get a trial of a PDF writing software like jaws PDF maybe?

    Exchange 2007, Redundant Servers/Load balancing

its kind of from experience, exchange 2007 needs fast disks as its quite io intensive and sata disks are not designed for this use, they are for archival data, large media files etc. you can get about 2-300 io's per sas drive in an san compared to about 40 io's per sata drive, so theres a...

    Exchange 2007, Redundant Servers/Load balancing

You don't need a San with 2007, can happily use the clustering method (which the name escapes me, possibly ccs?) where the two servers both have there own storage and it gets replicated.

    Exchange 2007, Redundant Servers/Load balancing

If you cluster it can only be the mailbox role so you need a third server (or 4 really) to host the hub transport and cas. We do traditional clustering with shared disk on 2007. You can't do load balancing as such as ms server is not active active. Load balancing would just be having...

Re: Best Internet Deals for Unlimited Internet. How good is BT, Sky and Virgin Media Why should I have to buy a decent router when the pro is priced as such a it includes a 'premium' router! And I can't see how this ISP is 10x any others, my o2 is 20 meg, has no download limits whatsoever...

Best Internet Deals for Unlimited Internet. How good is BT, Sky and Virgin Media ?

Re: Best Internet Deals for Unlimited Internet. How good is BT, Sky and Virgin Media apart from the wireless router being as good as a chocolate teapot in the desert, i have to be ontop of it to get my 20mb, more than 3m away and i get 3mb, useless. need to ring up and complain, common...

    anyone do D2D2T backups

the new backup exec does dedupe now. if you are looking at a professional backup to disk setup then have a look at the HP D2D products, they offer dedupe, or a VLS (virtual library system) offers a virtual tape library offering disk backup speeds with dedupe and infinite incrementals if you use...

    oops sony stop oled production

looks like its only the 11" one, not forgetting about the technology full stop. the screen was the only one available at the time 2 years ago, but you couldn't buy one anywhere else except asia anyway. They were definitely ahead of the time, when someone perfects a 37" at a reasonable cost i'm...

    Petrol blue - premium?

indeed, they called it green (translated from the french colour name i think and the colour swab on a page) then when they saw the first one in the flesh, decided it didn't suit the name and looked like petrol in the sunlight, and as you say changed the name, think Jez told me that. Its a...

    [PC/PS3/XB360] Bioshock 2

i did and it was ok, took ages to get enough people for a game, can't imagine people not realising it hasn't though if they have played it as the first choice is single or multiplayer. think people are more excited about single player with this game though, its so emersive, the sound effects...

    Facebook on BB9700

It's the same as that pic above, bit it only shows one short post, if it's. Ling one with a link or pic it doesn't fit on the screen, that's what I meant about the scrolling down constantly. I do quite like the integration and ability to pole people back easily though.

    Facebook on BB9700

Mine tells me, on the main screen it's the 2nd icon across the top from the left, has a red astrix thing when I have a message, plus I have push alerts too to the phone. It's not amazingly fast though and the screen is too small, way too much scrolling required.
