Can I fail MOT on broken fog light?

My car has passed an MOT with a big crack in the foglight. In an MOT test I think they only check the rear. http://www.motester.co.uk/cog.html

    Whistling noise from engine

BUMP, anyone? Had a look in haynes manual and mentions a leaking gasket or vacuum hose. Can it be that serious, it isnt that loud and there has been no loss in performance.

Where to get colour coded bump strips?

I dont think you can buy them colourcoded from Renault they are either plastic colour or primed, best to take your sidestrips to a good bodyshop and get them sprayed.

How do you change rear drums and shoes?

Ive recently had new shoes, drums and cylinders, shortly after one of my rear bearings went. I would get the bearings done as when you take the rear drums off its advisable to get a new hub nut, bearing kits for Renaults should come with this nut. 1.2 8v models have thicker shoes, I think all...

One of my doors has jammed

One of my back doors wont open as the central locking seems to have jammed. I have took the door card off and had a look but you cant really get to the motor without opening the door and unscrewing it from the edge. Any ideas how I get the door open? You cant pull the door pin up for some...

    2002 interior in a 1999 Clio

I have 2003 Dynamique interior in my 2000 Clio. Its a straight forward swap but the wiring is different. You just have to change some wires around to get the seatbelt light and pretensioners to work. The new seats have different connectors for heaters, side airbags etc.

    Headlight Adjustment

There is a white dial on the back of the cluster that adjusts the alignment but it could be that the servo needs adjusting, take out the servo and you can adjust how much the arm reaches out (the more it reaches out the higher the lights are). Hope that helps.

    Broken Blower

You could always buy one of those car heater things you just plug in the fag lighter, its probably better than the clio heater anyway. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Powerful-12V-200W-Car-Heater-Boat-Caravan-suitable_W0QQitemZ8016411314QQcategoryZ9885QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

grinding starting noise what is it?

When I start my car from cold I get a short grinding noise after the engine starts, however it doesnt happen when it is warm. It sounds like the starter motor is sticking or something is that what it is and how can it be fixed?
  27. davebem

    Broken Blower

Think thats normal for Clio's tbh. I work 4 miles away and by the time I get there on some mornings it has only just got warm.

    Broken Blower

I doubt you would be able to fix it, it will probably be a sealed thing you cant take apart. Assuming its not a fuse or a bad connection all you have to do is take the wiper arm off, then take off part of the windscreen cowl panel under the window on the drivers side and then whip off the 3 or...
