okay, but its positioned below the 5d on the canon website so why does it have a higher number, that goes against their numbering system surely?

i couldn't see an upgrade route for my 50d before as i have loads of EF-s lens's but now i have one, although i will have to dig deep to not actually upgrade just yet as i've only had the 50d a year!

not sure where this fits, the numbering suggests it sits above the 5DII but its a cropped sensor? http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-canon-eos-7d-digital-slr-camera-body/p1033215 can get it in a kit with a 15-85 EF-s IS lens, not heard of that before, is that new too? not sure where they are...

cheers, as i'm not too worried about playing it now, it sounds like i should wait until it appears in the used bins as with only 10 hours or so solo gameplay its likely to end up there fairly quickly with people trading it in i'm guessing.

if your tv has an optical socket then just run an spdif/TOSlink optical cable between the two and choose that as the sound source on the ps3, i run hdmi with a separate optical cable.

not sure why people keep suggesting a discontinued camera, will there ever be a point where the d40 goes lol. for me it would be canon 1000d kit or 450d kit with the canon 55-250 lens. both cameras much better spec than the d40 and not lens compatibility to worry about.

can't see how it can be different to any other broadband really, i've been downloading hundreds of gigs a month for years and have had no real issues with them. they are expensive, thats all i would count against them.

i'm special, if you didn't know that already then tough. It was free for everyone when i signed up, was for ages, and setanta was always free. its only recently they have come up with these 'new' packages to make you spend more, i'm pretty sure you can still have it without the packages though...
