So @Scrooge that's interesting. I almost bought some before Xmas for the Zed as I've seen a couple of "didn't work over X product" stories, but having still got the bottle of pre'14 Reload, I want to try it again.
Glad it worked for you RDR.
You mean like Wonder Wheels Cleans Wheels aka brick acid? I assure you Halfrauds have less automotive knowledge than my grandmother, let alone anything detailing related.
If it does, I'm not bloody paying. I've been quoted what I've been quoted. Even been given the job time code for some unbeknown reason.
Although interesting you've said that - they said I couldn't book in on a Saturday "in case it takes longer". I told her I couldn't book it in any other day, so...
A five minute job it might be, but I don't want to do it and don't have the current weekends free to go see a certain gem of a lad in Tillbury.
@TomSx they've quoted half an hour all in. Which is still £90. But I feel it's a small price to pay for what seem like anal ///M fans when I come to...
Lol, yeah, happy fricking new year to us buddy!
A/ it's a known issue and an ///M - people on the forum ask if they've been done, so come sale time, I want to say "yes" with BMW stamps.
iWish.
It is warranty work - long short of it PM'd.
In all honesty, on the Zed, I find them too fussy. Especially on the Roadster. Some Coupes look OK and they really suit the E46 (naturally)... I think I'm happy with the standards for now!
No updates to report - goes in on the 17th to have the rear springs done at BMW. TBH I've been getting back at 9pm each night from work, so no time to drive. Saturday I'm out at the rugby and dinner... might be driving to the garage as the next time it gets driven and then away on hols for two...
Interesting mate, as one has snapped. What are they out of interest - standard stuff? Parts aren't that expensive (booked in on the 17th for both rears to be done), it's just the £180p/hr labour.
Ha, not at all - I bought it because of the roof. Damned if I'm not going to have it down every...
The proof of just how good Redish are is in the (sadly) "unusual" pictures. For example a proper wash method after work done and 3M taped up areas around the engine bay/work area. I.e. "we'll treat yours as we treat ours".
Hearing lots of good things about Reddish, Neil. Good Beisan Vanos upgrade thread on Z4 Forum at the moment. Methodical to the end, incl 3M blue tape around the engine bay to ensure no scratches!
Taken up to The Lakes these last few 48hours. Couple of hundred more miles on the clock (circa 500 in now) and an absolute breeze in wet/hail that we had on the way back today. Thing looks a mess with all the dirt and salt on the roads but a decent jet down has got rid of most of it.
Few...
Presume as its a dealer that Terry has bought it from that you can also claim on their warranty if any work does need doing. As I am having to do with a broken rear spring, found by BMW's winter health check (best £20 I've spent @Cookie).
This isn't actually true anymore. Karcher woke up to the issue about 18months ago and have apparently fitted a "better quality plastic" part. Since then there have been far fewer failures.
Having said that, damage done so I'd still go for a Nilfisk.
I ran out of time, Dan. The fecking thing comes in 50 parts with "Engrish" instructions that are utterly useless. You know I'll be rearranging them today ;)
