Anything using the broadcom bcm4306 (I think) chipset will work. Although mine sometimes drops the signal, but it did that in xp so think its a dodgy card.

You can buy a code reader off ebay for about £20 but not sure how much detail it provides. Have to agree though I wouldn't be paying for the check since its a warranty issue. The port is located under the ashtry.

Think crucial (www.crucial.com) have a memory thingy on there. Put in the make and model of ur laptop and it will come back with the correct memory it will take. As for the connector, bar taking it apart and checking the connection doubt there's much u can do.
Sounds like you've done it correctly, is there a checker/status thing in bitlord that tells u if nat/port forwarding is working correctly? Try turning upnp on on the router sometimes it will forward itself. Also worth changing the default port from 6881 incase your ISP is throttling it. Also...
