Got Oulton next Wednesday and my front left is low, only just checked it the other day. Might put the rears on the front to last me and bring some AD08's with me to CSF incase he's there on the Sunday.
It's the higher number in the oil grade that's important, that's the operating figure.
5w50 and 10w50 will be the same at operating temperature. 5w50 being thinner from cold.
I use the TripleQX 5w40 from Euro Car Parts and before that was just the Elf Evolution stuff.
Cheap and good enough for these engines tbh, they're not a Ferrari.
Would rather change a cheaper oil more often, than use expensive stuff and change less.
It is Bosch 5.7 on the Mk2 Clio
You can activate the abs pump with the rst module:
Read and clears all pending/stored ABS ECU fault codes.
ABS Hydraulic unit and Brake circuits bleeding.
ABS Pump motor test.
Worth having your car battery connected to a charger as you do it, don't want it going...
I got my Valeo clutch from GSF for £60.
Not sure about the head work. These engines are not that common for headgasket failures, so i'm wondering why it's been done in the past...
@bloke may be able to offer some advice.
Bought for £580, stick a grand in it. Should be a decent motor for £1500 then.
I'd run a Valeo clutch personally, although LUK is a decent brand.
Get a heatshield for that starter motor too otherwise it won't last long.
