tried this polish i had from bodyshop suppliers. good stuff too.
then went for a trip out to Buxton
best way to find out tdc is to take no 1 sparkplug out and stick a long screwdriver down through so that it sits on the piston with the handle out. then turn it over with a spanner. the handle will rise as you turn it and at its highest point will be tdc.
started the car this morning and it was still there. did a ten mile trip and parked the car up and when i came back to the car 4hours later the grinding had gone and still hasnt returned. any ideas
i bought our 172 in march and in the price was 3 months warranty. now my vvt pully sounds is knackered so i ring the dealer and he said the warranty doesnt cover it. so what iam i covered for. ringing him back tomorrow?
Machine polished and got rid off them nasty swirls and finished with a good waxing.
