    ***Tyre Poll***

LOL! I'm not actively on there. It's full of idiots, i just know he's on there. That Ben gets them for £60 a tyre in 195/50/15 @imprezaworks

    ***Tyre Poll***

Nah not really, they're a road and track hybrid really. Other than that i'd go with Pilot Sport 3's which are about the same price.

    ***Tyre Poll***

Are you on Facebook, either Clio Sport Owners Club or Track Time. There's a guy on there called Ben Patey who gets Yokohama AD08r's at a good price.

They're ok on the road in the dry, bit slippy in the wet when pushing on. Very soft tyre really.

Pretty much yeah. Then just take off the paint in that area, or let him do it. Disconnect the battery too when welding, just as a precaution.

Yeah, we have the 2nd ones pictured as the inside lap mouting point. You need to drill a hole in the floor large enough for the nut of the plate to fit in, then flip the plate over and then weld the plate to the floor. The force is then pulling up on the plate in the event of a crash.

Anglesey is another one, went there with brand new AD08r's so around 7-8mm. Be lucky if i've got 5mm left now.

That track he did is really abrasive though. I did 20 laps on there and my 3mm tread of AD08r's that was there just disappeared lol.

We're on about OZ F1 wheels mate  EDIT: Oh you've seen it now.

Not sure on the official spacing, the Schroth guide will say for definite. But i personally wouldn't have them that far apart. Prefer the setup in the picture i posted earlier in the thread.

I use AD08r's and find them great.

That'll just be the tread block rolling over. Camber won't hurt though. -1.5-2 if it's a road car as well as track.

That's not bad, just pick up really. I'd probably swap to 10mm front tbh.

What wheels have you got on, the f1's?

That's what i mean, in the dry they're naff.

Rainsports will be absolute dogshit in anything other than a soaking wet track. The spacers probably will be affecting the handling to some degree.

Not really the thread to discuss this..... but are you not better off on HP rather than PCP if you plan to buy it outright from the start?
  22. Mr Trailer Man

    Any decent dslr deals?

Nah not really. It'll just be a few extra settings and better build quality/feel. You'd be surprised how quick you can pick it all up.

I'm guessing he's done that to avoid the chassis rail and pipes running underneath.

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

No timing on any track days. Everyone does though and it has it's good and bad sides. Mostly people trying to go faster and faster without the progressive build up or experience. I just use it for consistency.
  27. Mr Trailer Man

What discs/pads setup do you use on track?

1L usually does it. 1.5L if you want to make sure the old stuff is fully out.

Just get them welded and then give it a quick spray again. It'll be under the seats anyway so you won't see it.

Not the same as the Clio, but my brother's Megane has these welded in for the crotch straps.
