Isn't it the oil pump that whines on startup? Mine stops after a few minutes. My brother's Megane 225 does it too.
Always assumed it was the oil pump anyway.
Something like this would be fine and is near identical to mine.

I actually got them off my mates dad, Paul.
They were ones which are used to clamp TV aerial poles to the wall.
Mine are 50mm wide by 70mm long if that helps. The width could be smaller if you wanted though.
Was looking for something like this, Thanks!
Daft question but i take it you can connect this up then start the car, and not have to wait for it to actually charge the battery a bit?
How does your air con rad look, my brothers is all smashed by stones on his Megane.
Also worth checking the air con pressure sensor just to the left of the rad.
It makes it more eager to turn in the direction you steer, that's why people have toe out for track use.
Mine does follow some bumps in the road, but it's nothing serious. Yours will be worse than mine.
The mods you have won't effect the steering. It's the tracking adjustments they have done...
Yeah, mine was the Silver 182.
It's the standard airbox yeah, but with an aftermarket panel filter in i think. I've never opened it lol probably needs cleaning.
The spark plugs need a change too, so it might have made 180bhp with those two things done :tongueclosed:

This is my bar mount. That help?
It mounts between the two seats using one headrest post off each, but the same could be used to mount it off one seat using both it's headrest posts.
I use the u-bolts to clamp around the two headrest posts, with two holes on each side going through the 25mm round bar and wingnuts to secure it.
I think it's a lot more stable than the headrest posts slotting through the bar itself.
