I paid about £180 about 6 years ago for both tripod and head brand new. They're a lot more than that now!

Those are the ones from Euro Car Parts. They're the genuine ones which are made by Magneti Marelli for Renault...
Grab yourself a shutter release cable for long exposures. The ones you plug into the camera are better than the wireless infrared ones IMO.

No, it's just the rubber bushes perish a little and get too soft to absorb the movement.
Either replace with Powerflex bushes or standard for oem comfort.
They're Hot Pixels i'd say, not dirt/dust on the lens.
Try the fix in that video. A sensor replacement would be more than the camera is worth probably.
