Re: My PH1 172
Looking at that size, you should shorten the front plate to like 480-490mm IMO. Will suit the lettering more so.
Awesome plate, awesome car. What's next?
Wow. Id be slightly considering that if it was on mine. Probably wouldn't sell, but it's at the tag where you'd have to think about it.
I've had plenty of offers and people asking if i'm selling it, to which they get the standard response of "£5k and it's yours". ;)
It wasn't a jab at you, Rob. LOL
It wasn't directed at anybody, but the locals always abuse me about the fact that i'm not constantly on the limiter :rasp:.
Ill get some standard mounts ordered. I need to sort a list out for Adam, as i'm pretty sure that there was something else that I wanted...
I love how people genuinely believe that I never drive it over 2k revs. ;)
Ill probably stick with standards for the moment then. I guess they'll be a massively improvement over the current ones anyway, which i'm assuming have been on for the full 87k that the cars done.
Already got the...
I've been doing some thinking. I think engine/gearbox mounts are the things to freshen up next.
Question is, should I go with genuine Renault or go the extra for the Vibra's?
Not really sure whether I'd benefit from having uprated mounts and it'd cost about £80 extra to go for them. The thought...
Glad I've read this. I was looking into the Vibra mounts, just to tighten everything up. I may just refresh mine with standard items then. Probably work out much cheaper too.
If someone is going to hit your car, I think you'd have more important things to worry about than a number plate shattering.
I'm with the "standard plate" people. Clean & plain ftw.
Aren't they the Cup Racer spec 2118's?
The 2118's that most seem to buy (from Ktec and such like) are ET 38 iirc?
I was looking at some cup racer ones, but having ET48 put me off, as I want to have a wider track look.
I'll check this lot out. Cheers Kev.
Prep wise, it's all fine. I'm looking for a wax to keep topping my finish up tbh, as the detail I did the other week, I started with Tripple - Z2 - then started to layer up the wax, so it already has a good base.
Im trying to maintain the finish now until...
Supernatural is on my list, as I know ill get on with that & the high quality finish it'll give me.
I'm going to stay away from the AG HD wax tbh though. Because snob and I like to try different things.
