you havnt been creative, youve just made your car look shite!! different doesnt always mean better.
and guess what, youre not being different, so many people before have done terrible mods, and tried to say this forum is arrogant for telling them that it looks gash!!
you only get points for...
lol of course i will!
im just waiting for the interior to sell, where better place to keep it in the mean time than left in the car?! lol
as soon as it sells ill be stripping it,
removing all the tar,
cutting down the rear loom and re-wrapping it,
adding my cage,
adding seats and harnesses,
please bear in mind that the project isnt finished, the engine bay is a mess and the engine is still yet to be removed,
and the interior hasnt even been touched upon yet!!
however from the exterior, its pretty much what its going to look like once complete!!
i just thought id take a few snaps...
nope, no need for spacers fitting 172/182 wheels
have a nice long browse through the non-sport appreciation thread and get some inspiriation from there,
just dont go for anything too chavy like so many people do!!
also, try and get hold of the ebay rokkor/raceland coilovers!! they cheap and...
at least hes taken lots of close up blurey pictures so that you cant see the massive scuff on one of them!!
oh and so you can also see how nothing gets marked in their custom build storage system.......wheels are in the corner of a garage resting on a shock and a spring!! flol
shamefully...
stick your finger in the gap marked with the green arrow,
hold the inside door release lever out, and move your finger in the direction of the red arrow! lol
tbh, £45 for the engine to be timed up perfectly is a bargain!! even if you add £30 petrol ontop of that!!
i may take you up on that offer sometime next year when i take my engine out danny!!
theyre cheap tat imo, they cost 170 off ebay originally, then ktec started supplying them at double the cost!!
if you can get them at the original ebay price i say go for it, but dont be expecting any massive performance increases!!
and i wouldnt pay 360 for them, look for some better second...
sorry ive been terrible with photos recently, the weathers been too shocking to take my camera out with me while working on the car!!
ive finally got the suspension sitting how i want it, its not nearly as low as my previous builds as i kinda wanted this build to be a little more serious...
potential to be a nice car!! but you might as well just prime the bits you actually do and get it all painted a nice colour once youre finished!!
matt black is not a good look!! lol
well the weather cleared up enough for me to go and tighten all my rear suspension and fit the suspension tops!
also managed to ponse a lift to a local motor factors to get the auxillary belt so that should be arriving tomorrow!! :D
sounds good!! but im sure there will be a few more clear days to get some work done!!
this is how she stands atm!!
infortunatley, if the weather doesnt get any better, ill be putting an aux belt and wiring up the alternator and potentially leaving her until the easter!! :(
however IF we...
exactly chris! :D
was going to fit the box mount today too, but this damn weather is ruining my fun!! :(
ill go and get a snap of my progress so far, but i dont think ill be doing any work on her today!
they didnt make turbines in 16" i dont think,
if they need a respray and rubber id say 120-130.
but theyre getting pretty rare now so if you dont buy them, im sure someone else will!!
i was just reading about this on c16v!!
the valver one has a yellow and green,
yellows the ignition live, and green does the "no charge light",
do i need to connect both so that the alternator will work properly??
why does the "no charge" light need to be connected so make the battery charge...
yes it will fit, straight in, on the same mounts (upper gearbox might need moding)
wiring may be interesting though!!
a few people have put the F7 engines in mk2s
oh really?! how annoying!
the plug to the williams/valver alternator was a 2 pin plug, so there are two pins on the alternator, any idea which one it needs to be connected to?
well ill be cutting my engine look down tomorrow lee!! im gna do the same, untape lots then cut out all the un-used plugs and trace the wires back as far as i can and tape them up!!
aahh thanks a lot!! im building a track car and using a williams alternator and mk1 alternator brackets, so the plug on the F4 loom didnt fit,
ill just leave it unplugged since i was planning on running a voltmeter anyways!!
