Winter Spec Mode
So, winter mode is officially in action. Had my last real outing on the bike for the year this morning, so my rear seats have gone back in. Also took off the flowers from the rear view mirror.
Hooray for rear seats.
Should make the rear sit properly/a little lower now...
:o Hi
(Whats wrong with my pikey springs? lol)
Id want Craig's SC'd Sunflower. NOM!!
Shaun's Lunar v6.
Dawn's v6 - purely because it's stupidly clean and will have about a million layers of wax on there.
They're the bumper inserts for a Ph1. Basically 4 squares in each corner of the middle grill thing on the bumper. Renault want £35 for them, so i'm going to Rhys for the pikey spec version.
It'll improve the front end loads when i've sorted those.
Just took delivery of this...
Thanks Jamie!! :)
Haterz gon' hate and all that, but I used to have one on my old Ph2 Flamer, which I loved, so when this came up for sale, I just had to have it. Don't think it looks as good on a Ph1, but meh, RACE CAR!!
I can see how these things cannot be...
Ill be up for this dependant on time/day/location. (the car will be dirty for it though lol)
This Sunday? Id have come along, but I have a race from 9am. What time will it be?
The race is only in Moorgreen, so i'm pretty much at the retail park anyway ;)
Cheers guys. Much appreciated!! :)
Coops, we need to sort a photo session out with the RB before mine gets too dirty (not being washed until next year now).
Hopefully will go full anal on the paintwork next year and actually give it a proper detail, without my DA breaking lol.
Cheers Mick. Appreciate that. Especially seeing as you saw it in it's original state. It's come such a long way since January!
I may be a mechanical r****d, but yeah, I will make this car look mint!! (Ill leave the mechanical side of things to you, with the occasional input from Gray Motorsport...
What type of spacers do you have btw? I eventually want to get some, but don't want to have to ditch my polarised bolts, so was going to look into the spacers that bolt to the hub firstly.
Your car does make me jelly. :o
I used to get this every single day in the 200. Middle aged men in their Audis/BMW/VW's etc all getting right up my arse. Used to do my head in. Testing the Brembos usually gave them a hint though ;).
I've never had this in any of my 172's though (apart from the little chavvys in their 1.2's)...
After reading this, I think I may start with just ordering the dogbone mount, then move onto the engine/gearbox mounts if needed.
Will free up money for me to do other things too ;).
Both the 172's that i've sold have gone within the week (2days and 5days).
The 200 got literally no interest. A dealer ended up buying it back off me. (Mine was pauper spec though)
Pain in the arse. The ones coming onto mine we're all baby spiders. Literally cobwebs we're flying all over the place and they kept landing on mine & dad's cars. The amount that flew into my face too was doing my nut in. lol
I opened a can of "whoop-ass" on them all.
Gave the Sunflower what will probably be it's last clean of the year.
Ended up, in short, having:
- 1 layer of AF Tripple
- 2 layers of Zaino Z2
- 2 layers of Dodo Juice Banana Armour
Photos aren't anything fancy, but yeah...
:)
Pre-Winter Detail - 7/10/12 by Harpham y0, on Flickr...
Pre Winter Detail
Gave the car it's pre-winter detail today. Probably won't wash it again now until next year.
Products used (minus the usual foaming etc):
- AF Tripple (impressed with it, for a hand product)
- Z2 x2 layers
- Dodo Banana Armour x2 layers (just so that it looks decent for a few...
No, not quite as much as that. But you deserved the blocking for such retardation. LOL
OT, the car does look good. Part of me misses my Titanium, as id be more inclined to do things to it lol.
