if its a side mounted seat, then you will defs need sidemounts,
most seats come with a set of sidemounts i thought,
then you will need to either butcher you old seats,
or make/buy a set of subframes to fit the seat to the floor,
OR you could just fix the sidemounts directly to the floor,
but...
que the cliosport hate brigade,
it might have been prudent to keep past mistakes to yourself,
because cliosport will not let them go, and judge you repeatedly for them!
good luck mate!
how is so cheap to tax?
i was going to say its a complete conversion,
but i dont think anyone would go to so much trouble to change the lower dash and other such parts lol.
Go to start my clio this afternoon after leaving it from about 9 last night....
nothing,
unlocked fine, radio came on, feul pump primed,
turned to start the engine, and just a little click came from the starter motor!
its never done this all winter, its always started first time, every...
exhaust mount might be gone allowing excessive movement of the exhaust pipe??
or an engine mount, once again allowing too much movement causing the exhaust to hit on something?
the amount of rub you will get, depends completely on offset of the wheels,
you will have to remove the rear weather guards though,
i had 17's with 205/40/17
and lowered 60mm on Apex, and i didnt get any scrubbing what so ever!
lol at the sell,
"EASY FIX"
and yes, clearly the headlights were also fubared in the crash, or theyve been put on eariler in a bad repair job from a previous accident!
but my question is, why have them matching on the rear??
having different sizes on the front will caust the diff to spin up constantly wearing it faster,
and if its a braking issue then surely its better to have the main braking wheels the same size??
i live in essex, if i get pulled over, im...
FAIL! sorry did see the word rear!
then yes, either youve knocked the rear axle out of alignment, or bent it! :(
time for a rear disc conversion perhaps lol
how hard did you hit??
light hit,
bent track arm most likely,
medium hit,
bent track arm,
bent wishbone,
bent driveshaft,
knack balljoint
Hard hit,
bent subframe,
bent shock,
bent wheel
bent wishbone
bent track arm
ruined steering column
bent balljoint/trackrod end
jack it up, and...
ouch, get your flame suit on for the CS hate brigade!
i hope its taught you thing or two lol.
as for the car, it has potential, though im not usually a fan of 5doors,
instead of Vmax coilvoers, consider ROKKOR ones, just as budget, but half the price!
you may need to change your hubs for the...
Speedline Vega's
as said, off the ph2 valvers
i defs like the white and black contrast of the wheels and body,
orange drums do nothing more than draw attention to lower spec brake set ups also!
i never said my mind wasnt made up,
i asked if i would notice,
i was looking more for responses such as
dont do it BECAUSE...................................
rather than just dont do it.
other than interior!
clio is quicker and i believe it handles better,
not sure who wins in reliability,
but the ST is better built, and the interior is much nicer!
All imo, id still go for the clio ;)
how can you no see how it would be ok??
5mm larger sidewall makes the overall circumferance 2.13% longer, meaning the larger tyre will turn ever so slightly slower than the smaller tyre.
so when the other 4 wheels are doing 30, the spare will be doing 29.37mph
being on the back its not going...
and because of that, i dont like it, and probibly never will :( stickers make it look far to chavy and the "williams" sticker made jesus kill a puppy!
have you thought perhaps there's a reason why nobody else has done the sticker thing??
this man speaks sence,
imo the styling on the ph1s look so much better and at your budget, you could buy a minter,
if you do get a ph2, look out for the stickers at the ends of the bumper,
if theyre missing, tell tale sign of a front end respray, (possible crash) see below...
LOL at "to the max"
people have no creativity now days!
^^ that is lowered to the max, when you hit speed bumps and your anti roll bar hits the chassis rails! no when youve bought 60mm lowering springs :P
what im trying to say is, imo it could and should go lower! and as for mesh front...
£60 a month??
are you planning on something this majour to go wrong every year?? lol
as said, £700 does seem rather steep, but tbh, when you break it down
£250 for the box,
£70 for linkage and other parts
£280 for 7 hours labour (£40 an hour)
£100 for a clutch
£700 total!!
id defs get a run...
if it is a stainless steel bar, welded to the chassis, what would be the problem?? (http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=210&appid=1)
you can surely only mount harnesses to a 6 point welded cage.
are all 4 point harnesses long enough to do this??
or do you have to buy special ones??
i too want to do this,
can someone confim that if the bar is properly weleded in place, it is safe to use??
and any links to the harnesses, and where to get a harness bar from, would be great :P
sorry didnt realise you were only 16,
perhaps not an engine just yet,
imo, steer clear for any styling mods that wernt originally featured on a renault, (lexus lights and such)
get the sitckers off, lower it a large amount, get an exhaust,
perhaps sort out the holes in the bumper.
if...
i do the occasional bit of handbrake action in the snow where theres nothing to break buy myself,
but putting on Cliosport=fail!
please take the banter on the chin, and learn from your mistake!
tbh dude, as a mk1 fan,
im not liking most of it, mainly because youve called it a race build! (i stripped a 1.2 and had buckets, but id NEVER claim it to be a race build, just call it your own build, race implies engine work and weight saving mods lol)
show cage?
sub?
stickers?
WILLIAMS...
I quite like it, its an F4Rd mk1, and isnt a valver so quite sleeper,
not sure about using electric throttle though as jord said.
and perhaps the sellers severly dyslexic (sp)
if he did the work himself, then he clearly has a lot more knowledge than 90% of people on this forum!
