Nope, no luck. Funny that they have a 182 on the cover of their website, and won't insure a 172.
Email I got this morning from Greenlight insurance:
Dear Mr Rogers,
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to complete our online application.
Having had the opportunity to process your application...
Prone to oil leaks around the rocker cover, which could potentially drip onto the manifold I suppose. I'd want to find the cause personally. I find myself sat in traffic a lot, and I've never had any of my 172s set on fire.
From what I hear the ph1 or V6 airbox is the best way to go. I had a hillpower infuction kit on my fitst ph1 when I bought it, and found it dulled the performance a little. Nothing wrong with the standard setup.
I'm just outside Manchester as some of you know. WA postcode
I've spoke to Adrian Flux, Brentacre, Sky and Elephant so far. Any other suggestions? I was going to ring Greenlight but states they don't cover Clio 172 on their website.

However, when I had my Zetec-S two years ago, I got a renewal from flux for...
eurgh... I've got to ring around for a load of quotes this week. Not looking forward to it. My renewal from Flux was laughable, nearly £1900 22yo 3ncb. I get fisted because of my postcode. Nestled nicely between Liverpool and Manchester.
RS engine is already a relatively highly tuned engine out of the box. There isn't much you can do without spending big money to see reasonable returns.

Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Well the engine was ripped out a couple of weeks ago, and I've spent that time waiting for parts to arrive. Also, as I'm doing most of this on favours I've had to wait until other people are free to help out. So finally when f0xy was free he popped down and got to...
