Not what you're looking for, but hey, i'm gonna post it anyway...
This is the underside of my old 200's rear diffuser:

Boom.
I've been reading that if a ball joint goes though, then that can cause the tracking to go out, subsequently causing uneven tyre wear.
I don't understand why both have worn on the insides though. I had my tracking done back in February, as I knew it was way out then. When I had it re-done on...
Ok there have been a couple threads about this, but I couldn't find a definitive answer...
My car failed it's MOT on Friday due to a knackered ball joint. It was also an advisory that both front tyres were wearing towards the limit (both on the inside of the tyres).
Will just one failed ball...
I won't be buying it this year. Not because the previous games have been s**t (which they have been), but because i hardly have time to playon the Xbox anymore.
Yeah, a quick search says that it's the 12mm holes, so the bottom one would be the right one. Cheers for that Rhys.
25% off ECP... Would be rude not to change both at that price.
I think the seat will be fine. I bet it's just jammed on something. We'll see...
Yup. Once Wests has got back to me, ill see how much he wants and compare with ECP. Probably nip down tomorrow to ECP if Wests is much more. We'll be doing the balljoints ourselves. I might aswell do both, as you say, as they don't look too expensive. I never heard any type of knocking or...
MOT
Sunflower had it's MOT this morning.
It failed.
Nothing too much, thankfully. Ill be getting the balljoint ordered asap. Ill try and get my drivers seat taken out tomorrow, so that we can sort that (the problem with that is one side of the runner, or whatever, doesn't want to slide...
Cheers for that guys.
John, thanks for those two aswell. The prices you've been quoted seem more like it. Ill give them a try, as they'll both keep me within my budget (I have a couple bits in the pipeline this month to pay for ;) ). Cheers dude!!
^ I'm still waiting for Mick to text me back about this. I actually text him last week about it, as I knew that he knew someone good. I think his thumbs must be broke... ;)
^ No Deal. Don't want any crap wheels on my car :rasp:.
Gonna speak to my brother about taking our wheels down to these whilst he's still got his van, as it'd be ideal to take all 8 rims down to them in one go.
What sort of turnaround time do they have, out of interest?
If I cant find anyone cheap enough in the Notts/Derby area, then ill probably have to drop them off with them.
Dremel and be very very patient. My dad and I did it on my old Flamer. Very scary stuff.
Probably took 1-2hours to get it perfect, as we gradually had to keep shaving bits off.
I've been recommended these. Do they actually refurb them or just do the powder coating? My wheels are pretty battered, so will need some work lol.
Also, travelling to Brum will be a ballache with the hours I work. Ill be keeping it on the options list though.
Nope, I don't think I know, unless...
LW are very expensive iirc. Will you drop us a text with that Scott guys number please?? Has he got a website? Is that the old xXx place?
I would take you up on the bike offer mate, but cycling to 35 miles each way to Buxton 3x per week would do me in LOL.
Re: My Ultra Red 200.
Lol. Totally forgot about that. When it went to Jim @ White Details for a protection detail, pretty much straight after me picking it up, he found some overspray marks on the N/S rear panel. Dealer denied all knowledge of anything like that and said it was probably done at...
Hi guys,
So just wondering whether anyone can recommend any places to take my wheels (and possibly the wheels off my bro's 106 GTi) for a refurb in the Nottingham/Derby area? As close to NG16 as possible.
I'm looking for someone relatively cheap, but good at what they do (maybe not a good mix...
