Do turini's require different bolts too standard 172 wheels?
I just went round with torque wrench at 100nm and the other three locking bolts were a bit loose too, but non locking bolts clicked off straight away. So am thinking maybe the locking bolts are wrong type? So where can I purchase...
Hi, just cleaned the 172 and just noticed a locking bolt is missing from the front left wheel. Only had the car two weeks so not sure if it's always been like it.
Any way just wondering what the wheel bolt torque is. Also it's on turinis, if that makes any difference. Not sure of they are the...
Sorted the bonnet. Catch release didn't retract.
Just the fans to sort. Am hoping that when I short pins 1 and 5 they come to life. Don't want to know how much a motor is!!
Which fuses should I check? And relay is the yellow one right? How can I see of that's working?
the bonnet catches, just doesnt lock down?
also about the fans, this morning when i drove to work they were making a propper funky noise. didnt think anything of it, so turned them off.
may just have to take it into renault and get them to sort it, as i dont have much time this weekend, and...
so only had the car 2 weeks and im already encountering issues.
driving back from work and the interior fans dont work? all the climate control buttons work, just nothing comes out of the vents? what could this be?
so i got home to investigate, thought id check aux belt first. couldnt really...
Yeah I see it all, and dephaser isn't rattling it's more for a piece of mind.
I may just do all the small bits myself and then get a belt service done when required.
Which one do you recommend?
At the waterpumps on these fairly reliable then?
James
Hi, fairly new to the forum and have recently picked up a 172 on at 52 plate off rsports. The car is immaculate and has a fair bit of history. But nothing about dephaser.
So I'm looking to take it to a well known and respected garage so i no whats done. cambelt, auxbelt, dephaser, waterpump...
I promise :). It's staying as it is if that's what you mean, not changing a thing apart from dash trims and a new sabelt steering wheel with top retrimmed black instead of the blue.
On route now, BUZZING.
Yeah no recaros, but they can be purchased at some point. It is still a very nice car. Will be replacing the dash trim and steering wheel though (for a new sabelt one) as its all worn and faded.
Thanks for the replies. Yeah I thought the wax would be ok to use. Just wasn't sure on the black haze as its for dark coloured cars, and compared to the Audi being Ming blue, it's not that dark. I also have auto glym SRP and meguires
Polish. But both I find aren't quite as good as the poor boys...
Hi am picking up my flame red 172 this Sunday, just wondering what the best polish and wax for this colour? Normally
I use poor boys black haze and natty paste wax. But these are for dark coloured cars.
James
Well I still have the Audi.
Have left a deposit with Steve for the 172. Which I actually cannot believe the condition of.
Am picking it up on the 1st of July!! Woop woop!
Just got all my new cleaning stuff as current stuff is well used and blue from
All the poor boys polish/wax.
Excited...
I work at MINI play Oxford. And have seen these cars being built, test driven and put on the RR.
It's an epic car, interior is gorgeous and such a nice place to be in. And the car drives like no other, and alot better than the older R50 cooper s GP.
Obviously never seen the a1 or driven one...
If you fit after market wheels, surely you need different wheel bolts. That's the story on my Audi anyway. OEM wheels require taper bolts, non OEM require radius bolts.
Not yet, had a few silly offers for the Audi. :( so which means I'm unable to purchase the clio. Am going to view it Tuesday, and will leave a deposit. Just was hoping not to do 2 trips there and back. As its like 2 hours away.
Might become a member on here and advertise it, weather a Renault...
Yeah have spoke to the owner and arranged a viewing. The interior is being back back to standard Thursday though. Apart from steering wheel. Have to see if I like it. Can always purchase a normal one and sell that one on.
Also am twisted between the black wheels and silver standards. I love...
