depends on the age of the ph1,
before a certain year they used clips, late ph1s, and ph2/3/4 used the style were you put them in and push them back,
take your strips off and make sure theyre not little white and red clips holding them on, if so, will need some modification to make the latter...
damn you! im in the process of sourcing a ph2 bumper to do one for mine,
wont let me have any monaco ph1 lime light will you!!!!
if you do it before me (which is highly likely) ill hunt you down and cut you!!
i can understand the aplication of these,
you put the bolts included on using a 15/17/19mm
then you slide that metal spacer over them to act as the spacer,
the bolts you just put in have threads cut into them so your existing bolts can bolt your wheels on,
looks dodgy as fook to me and...
id agree,
them rims arn't really any better than what youve got on now,
id go for something abit less larey, bit more subtle,
i think the big attention grabbing wheels style is reserved for show cars and chavs,
as said, 172 wheels look good on clios.
standard lights and remove the eye brows...THEN quits lol
n as said, tis the cliosport crime putting 2.0 16v on any other than a sport,
unless your making the replica argument but thats neither here nor there.
colour coding and door strips look good,
wheels, lights, brow and wheels arnt my cuppa tea tho, sorry.
also is that a razors sticker in your window??
keeping rolling alive lol.
These uber low 'hate bringers' will be on my clio by next week!!!
hate them if you will but im like a kid at christmas!!
cant wait,
and tbh, i think it looks the tits, if the front was the same height.
i may be getting some low rear springs soon,
but im a tad worried about them falling out, is there any way that you can ensure they stay in place??
i was thinking of welding them in, would that be safe??
would you do a striaght swap for some gaz adjustable rear springs?? will adjuster plates so can be adjusted from standard height to abit higher than those??
pm me if you want to try and sort something out.
looking really well, better than it did before the ditch action!
dont suppose youd want to swap your strut brace from an amphasite omp one??
thinking of going for the stripped out back,
but scared about raising the ride height at the back lol
how did stripping yours raise it??
and is...
needs lots of lowering, lots of spacing, and dual optics up front for a start,
perhaps try and get hold of the v6 alloys too,
and paint the bonnet the correct colour.
have you painted the bar in the front grill black??
and if you get the money paint it a proper v6 colour,
fair play for...
:mad: i said NO references to rages old car, lol
well smoothing is on the horizon, probs early new year,
front bumper/non-sport back bumper/bonnet :P
am debating sending the exhaust on a long walk of a short peir lol,
i was tempted by the standard lights too for a bit,
may well be an investment for the near future lol.
thought id get some snaps as winters drawing in there wont be many opertunities to get snaps for a while.
bumped into alex (tucker) while i was out too, so some pics of his 172 will be thrown in also!
Low!
Tuckers clio...
its an inverted torx (femail torx) bit, if you havnt got one, youll have to buy one unfort,
ive added -va camber the same as bifcaids and couzens, just 2-3mm washers under the bottom two bolts of the drum, works fine, just make sure you tighten them up properly.
i was gna comment also on the spoiler, didnt think many lowspec clios came with coded dynamic spoilers,
colour code, eom+ parts, lower and some rims, will look good,
:( and now i feel bad....cheers!!
hope you were ok tho.
seriosuly, if youve been quoted 150, id take it, and sell it before the paint flakes (assuming it would on such a cheap paint job lol)
to anyone serious in buying the car, the correct colour pannels will boost the value of the car...
agreed^^
you really need to make the decision on selling it or not, if so tidy it up, and sell it,
or stick with minting up a ph1 (a decision thats looked down upon by most, but some of us have to keep the ph1 non-sports alive:D)
your in the same picle as me mate,
my car is worth FA to anyone else, its worth more to me as a car, money wise i cannot afford much more, with my college bills. however as its been nicely put, im polishing my turd lol.
as for the condition, i wouldnt say its good, without seeing it i...
pics are in noob section btw,
really hard to tell what its been lowered, especailly if its a rep, the change of weight will change the looks on the same springs,
tbh id assume the worst and get some coilovers, or if you just want the back down, as mentioned, cough up £10 and use the for sale...
