Was thinking of selling my 172 but realise now that it's not worth it, was offered £3800 trade in at a garage and it's mint with only 25k on the clock!

Pretty much sums it up
When I see cars rolling through town with da bass going and all the panels nearly rattling off I always think what a 'tw*t'....I'm sure most other people think the same.

Heatsoak far more of an issue on Charged engine like evo and Subaru, especially when it comes to intercoolers getting warm
High temps often = det in charged engines which can result in holed pistons and fooked bottom end.
Bit more serious than power loss
Seen plenty of BIG power cars running open/cone filters (Norris SWB evo for instance @ 800bhp) so obviously not a problem if you have them in the right place.
