The right hand side of my wheel is starting to look 'melted' but it's obviously something to do with where you hold the wheel most/wear.

Not sure about less dated but the valver Dimmas were definately rarer.
Could never drive a Dimma now, for a start the kits are fragile and bloody expensive, IIRC the bumper was £500 and that was back in the mid. nineties as well!
Agree with that, proper ones were very tidy, replicas were s**t.
My 205 Dimma was factory fitted and had the Dimma Plaque on the slam panel, was very, very tidy, not a crack or bit of ill fiting body work in sight.

I'd like to sell my 172 as well but know I'd get f**k all for it so won't be able to buy anything decent afterwards
IMO your best sticking with it if it's a good car
