I'd take the scirocco over the gti, absolute riot to drive and more fun then my cup- the only reason i never slapped down a deposit was the feeling i would be missing out on too much when the R comes.
Had this problem with my 172 when i first got it. The wire that people have referred to was replaced under warranty as it should up the day after i picked it up.
Went from a 172 to a 197 cup and never looked back. The only thing i occasionally miss is cruise control but a 197 with cup chassis would sort that. From personal experiences i would say its quicker, handles better, looks better. You may have to consider it does cost more to run then a 172, my...
Skipped part of the thread, in the beginning you said you weren't going to buy it and now on the last page i see you are a convert. I do have to say the 197 does not feel as quick as my old 172 but it is, no doubt and never had any trouble in keeping up with 1*2, or out gunning type r's for that...
In some eco friendly article i was reading, done by the RAC iirc, for a petrol car at least, they recommend changing gear by about 2000 RPM. But i feel the other ~5500 revs would feel left out and would be an insult to those at dieppe not to use them. From this i would assume that the lost...
Depends on her insurance policy, i know on mine i had to add it as an option. If the other guy is insured then, well i would anyway, hire a car and claim costs off him, even if you have to take him to small claims court to get it settled.
From what you have said most of the damage is just...
Never noticed the system on my cup and surely that's the point. Just there, below the surface keeping a guiding eye on all that happens. Realistically, if you always notice it then either you are driving too fast for the road conditions or the system is taking the nanny state too far. Don't mean...
'08' 197 Cup, owned for 8 months and done 9K miles and nothing. Unless you count some over spray on the paint which it came out of the factory with- fixed under warranty
Followed from the one way system in stone, down the A520 to the swinnerton arms about 2pm today, was an 02 plate blue 172. Lowered with an after market exhaust.
And last night about 9:30 spotted silver V6 pulling onto blurton road from heron cross roundabout.
No, don't think i have been near hanley for a couple of weeks, there is another white cup around here with a very similar reg to mine as it was brought from the same dealer.
Spotted around 20:40 yesterday, followed you down the A51 from where you turned left from Burntwood way, i was heading from shire oak/brownhills way. You headed off down the A38 towards Birmingham after a rather pointless overtake imo, you could have just as easily took the micra at the...
So its not just me that it happens to in stone, the last car i had try it on in the 172 was a rover 25, slightly modifyed with a sticker in the windscreen and what appears to be a standard exhaust with a hole poked in it.
Hi, just thought i would introduce myself. I currently drive a 172 but within the next 2 weeks i will be picking up my GW 197 cup- no firm date yet. I have been a member on renaultsport for a few months and a few members have said this is another good source of info so here i am.
