My bad, misunderstood you op and never read all the thread, here's an article that i found interesting:
http://craig.backfire.ca/pages/autos/horsepower
Probably industrial fall out- i removed it with a clay bar, see pic below. But i can officially say no to every problem the OP stated but i do hope you get them all sorted.
I also do this, obviously not bad as the car is only a year old, i also save for the insurance renewal as well.
I always advise to take these into when buying a car, as it these that can make it unaffordable.
In my experience the cup and 172 i had before over estimates the fuel used by almost a gallon, this obviously has the effect of decreasing the trip MPG so makes fuel usage look more.
Cheap tyres = crap handling. A mate of mine brought remoulds for £20 a corner and was pleased until came over the railway bridge on wolverhampton road in stafford and ended up hitting parked cars as an unmarked cop car was coming the other way.
Good advice, remember its not just buying the car, i mean back in june my cup needed a service, new tyres, insurance renewal, kerbed wheel repaired and tax, bang goes £1500.
Why does a 40 yr old woman driving a sporty car seem weird, back when my mum was 40 she had a sierra cossie, then went sensible with a meg coupe and now looking at getting the new meg 250, shes now 47!
The cup feels the same, although i now have a nice induction rasp around 6.5K and the exhaust note has noticeable changed, starting to loosen up good and proper, only taken 13K, and surprisingly the AC is actually quite good, better then the temperamental CC i had in my 172!
Most finance companies, well the responsible ones won't deal or be reluctant unless you pay the difference between what you owe and what the cars worth, some companies will but imo aren't worth touching, so a deposit in other words. I would also pay it rather then let the amount keep building...
A couple of things you should always do, ask for the bill to be explained and check what there saying is true, i.e speak to the tech and look at the parts that need replacing. i don't know whether you paid too much, although seems odd you paid more for your pads then discs and even paid £20 for...
Just to bear in mind that under the tar maybe little yellow/orange dots, if you have these don't waste time rubbing, just go to clay to remove this- its the only way
I used to agree, then i found autosmart tardis. I would start with AG tar remover and a clay bar, if you find you are getting through too much then consider buying Tardis, just fyi ag tar remover costs around £5 for 325ml, tardis is £23 for 5l but you dilute 20:1 so need next ot nothing to do...
Photo's don't do it justice looks a hell of a lot better, before i saw one in the flesh i wouldn't have had one and to be fair still wouldn't, prefer the 197 front end.
Re: idf you were going to sell your clio today
Just the usual stone chips on the front and side rear by back wheels, apart from that just had a full detail so is bang on.
Same back to you mate, as said on RS the only reason i never put a deposit down on a scirocco was because of the R. Tbh i think i will get bored waiting for it to come out and now i have got into detailing i think the amount of time i have put into the cup recently may sway my decision again as...
Thats what i was thinking when looking at a BMW 123d, but a few things have happened that made me realise i need to live life and enjoy it while i can, add to the fact i'm only 23, not exactly ancient! So now its either a scirocco R or exige!
Forgot to mention that the black 182 did have cliosport stickers in the rear windows, and how do you edit posts, can't seem to find the button!
EDIT- never appeared for me on the first 2, just posted this and it has appeared, weird or what!
