there is a haynes for 2000 on. as i have it. and all the interior stuff is pretty much the same idea for both normal stuff and 172s. its all pretty easy. just gotta hold youre breathe and tug. its actually quite tough compared to others cars ive played with
Id have the lambo doors tbh. Why will they be a pain? surely no more trouble than having to slide out a three door with that huge excuse for an opening trying to stop the wind or a slight movement nudging it into the next car
Thanks Dink :) hydeyho, i do know what im talking about. Ive done enough installs to know that it can make a difference. In certain cars it makes more difference than others
for a clio, the sub firing slightly up into the boot window is a good position, though mine is firing into the side and does brilliantly SQ wise.
DO NOT use velcro. It must be bolted somehow. If yu crashed, youre screwed coz someone WILL get hurt with a subbox that weighs a fair few pounds...
You dont need to do anything with wiring to the new h/u (although the original renault h/u will serverely inhibit the performance of any outputs) just unscrew old speakers cut the old wire, put terminals on the end that fit the new ones, then connect the wires to the trerminals. simple.
Why...
cool, the m6 looks cool. dunno how id get hold of one - rare on ebay iirc, thanks though looks good. i like the other one but i don want anything too sticky out or a hastings chavb will nick it
Id recommend Phoenix gold amps (or rockford fosgate) Every one of these Ive had has been underrated at least 25% (that thats another quarter more power!)
I saw The Big Yins thread about mirrors, but I want some though dont like the DTMs, I really like the M3s and think theyll go with my car ideas better. Just wondering if anyone has any pics of them as I have seen the mirrors but never on any Clios
I know not everyones and audio head like me, bu if i was you and had room to spare in boot, under seat etc, and if you had any extra cash, then Id think about a new h/u to run them off. possibly even a new h/u (nothing too pricey just nice) and a cheap amp.
Its just that you cant get a...
Iirc, JL are bringing out a new range of slim line ones. check out caraudiodirect. co . uk they have mounting depths on the site. anything up to 60mm should be fine
Ok, guys, I have two choices for my interior:
Once the door pods are done and primed, I really want them to match the rest of the car not just some vinyl mix and match, so:
Can you get the green pearlescent paint that the extreme 02 dash trims are done in? In which case I may do this
OR, a...
Same, mine are sitting in the attic somewhere I did a comparision with a mates 172 and they are the same (mine are from mk2ph2 1.2 16v)
Both are 5.25" and the pods can accomodate a depth for speakers at about 60 mm
Ok, I have just done this to my mk2 ph2.
It IS a straight swop.
Battery should be disconnected for about 15mins to be safe. My 172 airbag fitted right for the car, so I dont see how any others should be different - but always check I guess.
There is clips at back of wheel to unclip the bag...
