    Google Nexus 5

You can download a number of apps through the Play Store to text - personal favourite is Textra or TextSecure. Textra is a SMS replacement, but TextSecure is much like the iPhone way of texting - if both users have TextSecure it'll send an encrypted message through a data connection, or it will...

    Unlocking phone, data secure?

Thank you for that interesting insight. Bumping a thread up from 3 years ago.

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

I've seen a few websites use it for payment - seems to have a much better/active community than Litecoin too.

Can't believe DogeCoin is doing as well as it has been doing. Now number 3 in crypto currencies. just bought 1,000 DOGEs for £1.50 - slim chance that in 5 years they might be worth something!

    I've been banned from PSN

After this happened to me I did a bit of reading up on the matter. Apparently this is allowed and not illegal!

    I've been banned from PSN

I had a card from 08 saved on my XBox account. Didn't do anything as I expected it not to work as it was out of date, but they charged it about 3 weeks later after the renewal date - I gave them a call and they refunded it.

    Moto X announcement

Completely pointless. It's not even a good phone for the price. You're best to keep your HTC One which is still one of the best Android phones on the market (Behind the G2 and Nexus 5).

    The PlayStation 4 Thread.

Does anybody bother playing Battlefield 4 with headsets etc? I wouldn't mind some tactical team games rather than running around on me todd!

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

I was on about blockchain.info it's on online wallet which I think is probably the most secure around. Nothing is as secure as keeping it in your own hands as a paper wallet though. Unfortunately I can't help with Windows as a whole as I haven't used it in years.

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

ALWAYS keep them in your own wallet. hacks, phishing etc happens all the time. Better yet, get a paper wallet and keep a couple around. But then again you're probably using Windows so at the very least get a Blockchain wallet and use 2 factor authentication.

Isn't that old news? But it just happened earlier then expected.

I use Mullvad. Can pay by bitcoin to stay anonymous and can choose servers in Sweden, London, Holland and Germany.

    Android Launchers

Nova - basically the stock launcher with a ton of customisations. Action Launcher might be a shout for you though. It's basically just one screen and you swipe right to bring a list of apps rather than an app drawer. I switch between this and Nova quite frequently.

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

The "owner" first started mining the coins so has millions of them. Selling them in one go would completely crash the price of Bitcoins so it wouldn't be in his interest to do so....

    The PlayStation 4 Thread.

My PS4 arrived yesterday with Fifa - If anyone fancies a game add me on PSN - IemonPIedge (capital I's for l's). Currently only got Fifa and trying to decide between Killzone or Battlefield?

I'm just going to get my popcorn and see how it plays out. That guy has said he expects to long and painful decline and there will be price fluctuations in the short term. We could also be in the Bull trap part of this stock bubble graph -

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

I'm not an economist but I have been following a guy on BitcoinTalk since early this year. I have done everything this bloke has said and he has ALWAYS come out right for me, I made about a grand in the last bubble just following this blokes advice. I unfortunately missed this last rise after...

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

Bitcoins piss me off now. I was buying in at the start of the year for £30 a coin. Bought and sold all the way up and managed to pull out before the bubble popped and made about £1k. This rise is CRAZY! Especially LTC at $40 per coin now too...... Going to be one massive crash when it comes and...

    Google Nexus 4

Google does things on staged rollouts. Helps the load on the servers and if there is a bug that hasn't been picked up only a small number of devices are effected. I've had it on my N4 and not N7.

You've got a wake lock. Download wake lock detector and it'll tell you what's keeping your device awake.

    Google Nexus 5

LG G2 £400 PAYG from 3. it's not that much more. I've got a debloated rom of the stock firmware so that's fine. You can also get Cyanogen mod to make it like a Nexus 5.....

    Google Nexus 5

The battery life is why I have the G2 - near enough the same device with a better battery and camera. My G2 can last 2 days (where my old Nexus 4 would die just before bed time) I absolutely love this phone and is certainly the best phone out at the moment.

    Android Apps

The free version allows you to select things one by one, so you have to select every app, another selection for your texts, another selection for your accounts etc. The key allows you to back everything in a couple of presses. It stores the back up on your SDcard/storage in the tianiumbackup...

    Android Apps

Titanium Backup, used it for years - You'll have to pay to back up everything in one go though. As I do a lot of romming etc it has saved me a TON of time. About a fiver.
