It's so easy to rob data off public WiFi networks these days, It's why I don't ever connect to them unless I hook myself up to a VPN. Very easy to suffer a Man in the Middle attack or rob your login details for any other websites etc...
Facesniff (Not on the Playstore) If anyone is using Facebook on your same local WiFi network, it steals their credentials and gives them to you so it is like you've logged in as them.
dSploit (Not available on Playstore)- Able to do Man in the middle attacks to anyone on your local WiFi.
Seriously? You have near enough the exact same internals (and some are better), hardware wise you're getting an inferior product. Software wise - give it a month and I'll be running KitKat exactly the same as you.
No not really, I just wasn't a fan as having an LG note app, LG clock app, LG Keyboard etc. I prefer to use 3rd party apps available through the play store and not have others taking up space screen space etc on the phone.
The worst thing about the software is that is has a menu button -...
4.2.2, LG skin isn't too bad tbh - tons of bloated crap on it, but there are plenty of roms that get rid of it all. Knock knock is a a REALLY nice feature to turn on the screen (just tap it twice), every device I pick up now it is habit to do that.
Oh and you can put CM 10.2 Official Nightlies...
Absolutely LOVING my G2.
My Nexus used to die before I went to bed, 3 hours screen on time (If I was on Wifi) and that was with all sorts of battery savings tweaks.
Currently on 39% battery. 29 hours 45 minutes of use. 4 hours 10 minutes screen on time, including an hour or so of Spotify...
Decided to go for the G2 route mainly for the battery. The Nexus 5 is going to be 2300ma instead of 3000ma, worse camera & smaller screen. I love my Nexus 4 but in the end got sick of it being a "nearly" there phone. It looks like the Nexus 5 will be the same.
Err... no you couldn't. They tried weapons for a while but cancelled it after a month or so. For weapons or anything else you would need to take a trip to BlackMarketReloaded.
The LG G2 has just been released, not the T-Mobile one from eons ago - http://www.anandtech.com/show/7251/lg-g2-and-msm8974-snapdragon-800-a-quick-look/3
The battery on this thing is immense. But it's going to be a 2300mh (Rumored) battery instead in the Nexus 5. I Will be going for the G2 if...
Used to use Swift Key but recently it seemed to lag a bit and not be as good as it was in the past. Use the standard Google keyboard now (they put it on the store if you don't use a Nexus). Alternatively there is Kii keyboard which allows you to put Emoji's in on the fly.
Google have said they intend to run Motorola as a separate brand and they will get no preferential treatment. The only reason they bought Motorola was for the patents they hold to defend themselves against Apple. Which were used as defence very recently IIRC.
Will be a couple of weeks beforehand. If you get a new phone every year go for the HTC One, it's an amazing phone. If you don't upgrade that often go for the new Nexus as it'll get more frequent updates.
It's only a little incremental update. You'll see a much snappier performance due to the new SSD management in the software (especially on your Nexus 7), Bluetooth for audio streaming has been fixed too. It's just a lot of stuff in the background that has been optimised and fixed.
Be patient for the update, it'll be coming over the next couple of weeks (unless you want to flash it manually yourself).
If you're on a custom rom, you will not get the OTA update.
iOS7 is basically a skln refresh with a bit of background data thrown in in my opinion. The reasons I love my Android are -
Bigger screen.
Tasker - I can automate almost anything in my phone, it searches the cell towers near my home/work. Once it finds one it'll turn my WiFi on. If my Wifi...
HTC One any day of the week. Once you've used Android, going back to iOS will seem like you've transported back in time a good few years. iPhone's hardware is fantastic but it's such a shame the OS is so dated.
