Mines does the same occasionally - turns over and seems on the verge of catching, but doesnt quite get there. Only happens wwhen its hot and you return to the car within a fairly short period of time. Always starts on the second turn of the key though...
Ive added a Pipercross panel filter & K-Tec exhaust and got 182 bhp @ fly at a RR Day a few weeks ago :) Certainly feels a lot quicker, but the noise of the K-Tec is a large factor in that too - sounds like a complete beast!
Ive got the full on noisy one, and a nice set of perforated eardrums too :D
Still - days like this, all you need is windows down, 2nd gear all the way to 7k.....fantasic! ;)
Teady - you could be right! My PIPE my well have scared him off and now youll have two of the buggers - perhaps making little baby noisy hammerers in your back quarter :o
Wait until your bro isnt about and then try and tempt them into his car with pictures of Gerard Depadieu and Serge...
Ah thats okay then - Im not English :D
Not sure where Ill find snails tho - think it would look a bit suss with loads of snail trails over the seats etc :o
Hmm - this confirms my suspicions.
My little chap seems to prefer hiding behind the dashboard now that the PIPE (Personal Invention for Permanently rEmoving hearing) has been installed. How can I tempt him into the open? Leave some cheese out for him?
What does he eat?
Hmmmm - why doesnt this come as a surprise to me
Ill run this by them tomorrow - wouldnt put it past them to have kept my oil and used their own stuff - I asked them for the remaining 0.25l that should have been left after doing the change, which is when they came out with the "It took...
Can anyone confirm how much oil is needed to do a full oil change on a 172/Cup?
Mine was in the dealers today for a full oil and filter change - I supplied my own oil (5l) which they claimed wasnt enough and had to use some of their own. I was under the impression (perhaps mistakenly!) that it...
Go for the k-tec Paul :)
Not sure who does just a back box for them - as its all one piece from the cat back.

Youll have heard of the term "no fault accident"?
Perhaps the road was icy? Perhaps it was muddy? Accidents can and do happen, and by their definition (An unexpected and undesirable event, especially one resulting in damage or harm) are unexpected.
My point, that you appear to be missing, is...
Thats a real shame :(
And wtf has lack of ABS got to go with it??
Personally Id be more concerned that the driver and passengers were okay rather than making completely speculative guesses over the cause of the accident.
If anything they filter better than the original - take a look at the standard paper filter and marvel at how crappy it looks.
Standard paper ones are designed to be lowest common denominator items - built to a cost, fit and forget until the next service.
Yup - mine did this as well. Seems to have gone away now for no apparent reason, but it did seem to do it when trying to change gear quickly.
I find the shape of the clutch pedal quite annoying anyway - seems to get in the road, so it may be that the clutch isnt 100% down when trying to change...
