Go for a panel filter instead - normal induction kits tend to lose bhp as they get a nice filter-full of hot air from the engine bay.
Alternatively, if you are determined to have an induction kit, then some sort of shielding arrangement can be used to try and seperate it from the hot bits of...
Cheers guys :)
Ive got an iPAQ with TomTom SatNav software and CheckPOInt Scamera detector - its mounted on one of the vents in the middle and Id like to try and run the cables behind the dash in order to get it looking nice and tidy.
Not exact prices as you can always save by shopping around, but as a guide
PDA - iPAQ new is anywhere between £250-£500 depending on model. 2nd hand ones are obviously cheaper - prob £100-£200 again dep on model. You might need to upgrade the PDA depending on the spec - extra memory is...
Easy mate - you need SatNav software (TomTom always gets good reviews - http://www.tomtom.comhttp://www.tomtom.com), the iPAQ or similar PDA itself, a GPS receiver to receive the signals from the satellite, and cables to connect them all together. For the speed camera part, you need a POI...
Anyone removed the centre section of their dash i.e. the section from the cubbyhole at the bottom all the way up to the display and tray bit at the top of the dash? Im attempting to run some wires inside the dashboard for my SatNav system and Id like to remove this bit in order to see if itll be...
What...what...did someone say something? Ill second that - the original k-tec straight through beastie is certainly loud ;)
Almost used to it now though - plus I can claim not to have heard the missus telling me to slow down:D
If you are still worried - go speak to a lawyer. If you dont have one already, then most lawyers will give you a first interview free (check this first).
What a fcuking t**ser - someone did something similar to me on the mway (but missed me) and I got on the phone to the cops and reported him for dangerous driving.
Saw them pull him over and give him a good seeing to a few days later :devilish:
Okay - before anyone goes and splashes the cash, and to answer all the PMs Ive had on the set up etc. - confession time
Its actually that low due to about 200kg of garden aggregate in the boot - I reversed it up the drive in order to unload it all easier, saw how low it looked and...
Heres a couple of pics of the beastie - quite like it dumped on its arse

Good stuff guys - thanks for that.
My reason for asking was for my GPS receiver - wanted to know if Id be able to put it on the dashboard without the signal being reflected by the coating on the windscreen. Looks as if itll be okay in the Cup :)
Mines has ran exclusively on Optimax since Day One, apart from one fill up when I was in the Highlands. Had to put in NUL that day, and the difference was easily noticeable - didnt pull as hard or cleanly all the way to the redline.
Anyone know off the top of their head if the windscreen in the Cup is still heat reflective glass? I know the Cup is supposed to have thinner glass than the 172, but is it still coated?
Cheers
Another thumbs up for the K-Tec here :)
Ive had mine on for about 3 months now and still loving it - it is very loud, but sounds the absolute nuts. Heres a wee pic of mine on the car

Ah - if only you had discovered the wonders of Swissol.... http://www.swissol.com/http://www.swissol.com/
Wee wees over Zymol and Meguriars from a great height - a bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny :)
Id agree with KDF - the brakes are great on the Cup. Plenty of stopping power, good feel and no sign of fade under hard usage. Id say I prefer them to the 4 pot stoppers on my Impreza
Yup - mine rattles in a similar manner. Sounds suspension related and often appears at low speeds when making a sharp (lots of lock) turn into a parking space or similar, especially over rougher ground.
Id be interested to hear if anyone has managed to identify the source of the noise and/or...
