i came from an 02 mk2 to an 01 mk1 and i honestly like the 1 better, it looks more aggressive from the front, the interior has better seats - the stiched logo is colour!! Hehe it is more dated inside but is far better nailed together, not a rattle in sight!

they flash twice to record your speed, first is a reference point, then after a set time it flashes again and from the distance you have travelled in that time your speed can be calculated.

you can get em, ring the number on the sticker and then explain wot you want, they will charge you 25 quid to register your car with them, then you receive a sticker set and a glass etc kit.
when after a few years, say five the cars price is usually reflected in the cars desirability, by that i mean that cars have flavours, iremeber when i was doin a bit of buy/sell escort rs turbos were really appreciating in value, with people willing to pay 6k for a nice 90 spec!

in standard form, you will have a much more saleable car, ideal first time buyer car - leave on the mods and it might put a lot of potentials off, you will only attract the young lad market, and then they will have to like your mods to pay for em m8, sell em seperate ;)

you have not considered weight my friend, those figures show the torque the engine develops, they do not show the weight of the car that it needs to pull around. Have a look at the torque figure for a bus or a tank - about 10 times the vr6, but are they faster....erm no!
