Definitely worth more in parts but do you really need to sell or could you just mothball it?
Mine is probably an identical spec and I bet a Cup Racer wouldn't be much more but think of the time, effort and emotion that's gone into it. That said, if the passion has gone, get rid.
I was worried the new rules would render the Clio useless after removing the airbags and the ABS.
As I was having the M3 MOT'd this morning, I was chatting about the warning lights as I've blanked the ABS and airbag lights off at present.
The Guy said it's quite clear to see that there are...
I removed the standard dash bar and had a dash bar fitted to my cage.
The dash top is all i'm fitting to tidy the wiring etc but its drooling around at the moment due to lack of the Renault bar and the clocks are loose.
Any tips on what to use as support, mounts for either?
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
The black one. He said the feet sit right over the chassis legs so access was a challenge. Looks a treat now though. Had door X's made up, the harness bar refitted and a dash bar fitted.
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
I've got the Cup Racer stuff so fingers crossed it won't be too challenging.
On a spamming note; My cage fitter dropped my car off today after fitting your old OMP cage. He said it was a nightmare to fit at the back!
I did mine but I have an engine to back it up ;)
Alternatively, de-chrome the slats. I did it on my E46 as I had silver indicators and CSL's and the chrome of the outer worked with those accents.
I have the Cup setup fitted and want to lose the bulky lower bracket as I'm fitting a Saxo PAS pump.
Does the lower bracket work with a Cup alternator? Or does the Volvo top bracket also work then I can sell on the Cup setup?
I was thinking it would be the simplest option. I've removed the air on and fitted a Cup blower which I found out doesn't work with the CC loom. I'll be changing the engine loom to a Cup item as I'm removing the ABS.
So to get the Cup blower to work I'd need;
Interior loom
matrix
control panel...
TDC sensor?
Pro test the injectors, remove them, turn the rail upside down and turn the car over. You should see them fire. Obviously don't do it for long as you will cover everything in petrol.
Mick; if I wanted to run a Cup blower but keep the CC panel, can I just change the engine loom to a Cup with the correct plugs or does the controls, matrix and I interior loom need changing too.
Or is it UCH controlled.
Have a look at these two mate;
